August Deepening Dawn and April Light Shower and Angel White
Three Characters of My Story
August and April have already been written about in my writings – Angel White is Someone New to me . . . Haven’t met her, yet. Haven’t written about her before now. Angel White’s name reminds me of angel food cake. It’s white. And it’s light in substance – like the clouds of the atmosphere of the natural heavens. And it’s food – delightful food to be enjoyed. And Snow White comes to mind, also. And my cat, Charcoal:
Charcoal grey and Charcoal white/A little of Cinderella/and a little of Snow White, she was and always will be, to me. It was like heaven to hold her. My memories of her still make me cry. Maybe her spirit and life in my heart make me cry for her. Maybe she’s still right here with me and in me and always will BE . . . “Love never ends” it is written . . .
Their Names All Begin with the Letter A – August, April and Angel.
In the Book of Revelation it is written that the Lord Jesus said,
“I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you about these things for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star.
“The Spirit and the Bride say, ‘Come.’ And let the one who hears say, ‘Come.’ And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price.” -Revelation 22: 16, 17. ESV Study Bible.

It is now 8:29 AM. My dad was born on 8/29/25. But this is July 22, 2023 – not August 29th, 1925.
This story of mine will be confusing – because the writer is confused. He’s been confused all his life – but, by the grace of God and the faith of Jesus Christ and by the Helper, the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ – his confusion doesn’t stop him from keeping on – “keep on keeping on.”
Nothing can stop those who have become connected to their Savior – Who has “the power of an indestructible life” by which He rose from the dead 3 days after His crucifixion by ungodly men – who have not risen from their graves – even 2000 years later.
We who believe in our risen Savior do not own this power of Christ’s indestructible Life – we are only benefiting from it or — partakers of it — by reason of the grace of God and the faith of Jesus Christ – by which grace and faith we have become grafted into the Vine that IS Christ — and enjoy the benefits of being born again by His Eternal Life and His Holy Spirit entering our hearts by “the gift of the Holy Spirit” being sent to us who believe in our Lord and Savior and Redeemer – the Living Word of God – Who lives in us who believe in the gospel of Jesus Christ and are thus saved by Him – the Son of God Most High.
That was a long sentence – felt almost like eternity writing it . . . maybe he wrote from Eternity . . . he doesn’t know . . . he only believes . . .
Now it is Sunday, July 23, 2023
I was born at 8:23 AM. Moved into this apartment on January 23rd, 2008. I have a tendency to see the significance of numbers and dates and times. The fourth Book of the Bible is called Numbers. Numbers must be important, then.
I was sitting down drinking my first cup of tea early this morning – sitting in the rocking chair that used to belong to my mother while she was still living on Sweet Avenue – where our family all lived and grew up from the 1950s and into the 1970s. Was thinking of this writing that began being written yesterday. Thought of some new things to add to it – especially songs. And some words.

What about August and April and Angel ?
August Deepening Dawn got me thinking of a movie I saw as a boy: “Journey to the Center of the Earth.” Maybe August is somehow related to the center of the earth. Maybe as his life continues his root keeps going deeper and deeper until one day it reaches “the center of the earth.” Wonder what might happen when August finally penetrates mother earth to her very core – her very center. Will it be like in the song: Sister Golden Hair, by America – where it is written: “Will you meet me in the middle?”
Thought of an earthquake – deep down in the center of the earth. And then a hymn came to mind:

Jesus told us . . .

People who get touched in their heart by something lovely and beautiful and O so sweet . . . and they get scared of an emotion flooding their heart like a wave of the ocean reaching a toddler sitting on the warm and dry sand of the beach – and in protest and objection they get up and run away in the hardness of their heart . . . they don’t understand they’re running away from God and love and blessedness and heaven . . . they have no idea what they’re missing out on . . . in their spiritual darkness they’re afraid of the Light – and are running away from “the washing of regeneration.” They’d be much better off if they just stayed where they are on that sunny beach and cried like a baby when the waves come marching in touching them and washing over them like the Holy Spirit entering their heart and making them clean and holy for True God to live with them forever and give them eternal life and fill their hearts with His joy and His love. But, if they don’t believe the gospel then they can’t see yet with the eyes of their understanding what’s really going on and what’s coming over them. “Without faith it is impossible to please God” — and impossible to endure unto the end – and be saved.

Met someone new on the internet a few days ago. Her hair is golden blonde. Got me remembering a song by America called “Sister Golden Hair.” And while listening to and reading the lyrics of the song, I noticed something that escaped me all my life until that moment that I saw it. It may seem like just a little thing – but “little is much when God is in it” as another song/hymn tells us. What I noticed was the word yes in the word eyes.

Unbelieves will say, “That doesn’t mean anything!”
Well, unbelievers miss out on everything because the eyes of their understanding are always closed to spiritual things – they choose to recognize only natural things.
“The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned. The spiritual person judges all things, but is himself to be judged by no one. ‘For who has understood the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?’ But we have the mind of Christ.” -1 Corinthians 2: 14-16.
