The Door
Will The Daughters of Men Be Born Again –
And Become The Daughters of the Lord Almighty ?
“Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? What accord has Christ with Belial? Or what portion does a believer share with an unbeliever? What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; as God said,
“I will make my dwelling among them and walk among them,
And I will be their God,
And they shall be my people.
Therefore go out from their midst,
And be separate from them, says the Lord,
And touch no unclean thing;
Then I will welcome you,
And I will be a father to you,
And you shall be sons and daughters to me,
says the Lord Almighty.” -2 Corinthians 6: 18. ESV Study Bible.
Hmmm . . . just re-imagining the sound and the spelling of the word daughters this way: door_t_hers . . .

“So Jesus again said to them, ‘Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. All who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture.’” -John 10: 7-9. ESV Study Bible.
Since Jesus is the door, then even if the Lord Almighty has daughters, we cannot enter by them – because they are not Jesus the Son of God. He is the door. Women ought not to be offended by this fact – because men are not the door, either – only Jesus the Son of God is The Door.
Also like the sound of the phrase “The Sound and the Spelling.” Reminds me of the title of a movie I never saw – only do I remember its title: “The Sound and the Fury.”
Could the beauty of a woman cause a sounding in a man’s soul that casts a spell on his heart – for as long as she’s alive in his sight — and even later — in his memory of her – even if she isn’t in his life ?
And . . .

When a woman is having an orgasm, her soul begins sounding — is she only having a natural experience – or is she also having a spiritual experience ? Or is she temporarily out of her mind – and having only physical sensation ? Is that all an orgasm is – just physical sensation ?
“It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life. But there are some of you who do not believe.” (For Jesus knew from the beginning who those were who did not believe, and who it was who would betray him.) And he said, ‘This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless it is granted him by the Father.’” -John 6: 63-65. ESV Study Bible.

While listening to and watching the above music video, a silent sounding and deep feeling happens in me – it makes me feel like crying – but, I don’t break out and cry. I wonder why . . . When my mother would often “strap” me with her leather strap — whacking my legs hard – I didn’t cry then, either. Didn’t even understand she was trying to make me cry. I could not cry. I only felt the pain – like perhaps, a small tree getting hit again and again by a woodsman’s hatchet. All the helpless tree can do is stand there and take it. It doesn’t have a voice, yet. It isn’t born again, yet.

On this day in 2018 I saw my mother for the last time. She died the next day. And today is also the anniversary of the marriage of my very first social worker, Betsy Abrams. She told me so during one of our appointments in the early 1990s. And she was Jewish.
