Take Heart, Freeloaders

By the way, aren’t we all freeloaders?

The Son of God has made us free!

Says so right in the holy Scriptures !

Just a few folks – not many — over at a cam website — say that folks looking for free are “freeloaders.”

Well, I got to thinking about that one – and it even got me praying too – trying to understand about that.

And late this afternoon the Lord God [the Savior of all men, especially believers] – by His Holy Spirit, the Helper – gave me an understanding about this matter. He reminded me of some Scriptures — to help my understanding.

“So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed in him, ‘If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.’” -John 8:31, 32. ESV.

And I was thinking how it is that those even thinking that others are “freeloaders” don’t realize that we are all “freeloaders” in one way or another. For example: unbelievers living in the human body that God gave them — and being sustained all their lives on His planet earth that He created and sustains — and makes it produce food for all of us – even those unbelievers who don’t even thank Him every day of their lives that they live – the life that He gave them – well . . . are they freeloaders, too?

And perhaps it is fitting to write about this – to help them understand — for it is written:

“Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?” -Matthew 7: 1-3. ESV.

Matthew 7 ESV – Judging Others – “Judge not, that you – Bible Gateway

“If anyone sees his brother committing a sin not leading to death, he shall ask, and God will give him life – to those who commit sins that do not lead to death. There is sin that leads to death; I do not say that one should pray for that. All wrongdoing is sin, but there is sin that does not lead to death.

“We know that everyone who has been born of God does not keep on sinning, but he who was born of God protects him, and the evil one does not touch him.

“We know that we are from God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.

“And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life. Little children, keep yourselves from idols.” -1 John 5: 16-21. ESV Study Bible.

I understand the people working at cam sites are there to make money – by earning tokens. Some of them might feel that they are wasting their time chatting with people who are looking for friendly conversation and believe that My Free Cams is free. So, a few – only a very few – a tiny minority — I guess, try to give their visitors a different understanding – by talking about “freeloaders” – to make visitors feel that they are expected to pay tokens if they visit their room. And they kick people out sometimes and ban them – not because the visitor did anything bad – but just because the visitor isn’t giving them tokens. Actually, the visitor does give tokens – sometimes he even gives a lot of tokens – but not every time. And, maybe there is another reason for using the term “freeloader” – and kicking him out – and banning him – maybe quotations from Holy Scripture are more than some folks can bear.

“Afterward he appeared to the eleven themselves as they were reclining at table, and he rebuked them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they had not believed those who saw him after he had risen. And he said to them, ‘Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.

“So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God. And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the message by accompanying signs.” -Mark 16: 14-20. ESV Study Bible.

“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things.

“Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.

“For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.

“And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done. They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless. Though they know God’s decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.

“Therefore you have no excuse, O man, every one of you who judges. For in passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, practice the very same things.” -Romans 1:18-2:1. ESV Study Bible.

“When they found him on the other side of the sea, they said to him, ‘Rabbi, when did you come here?’ Jesus answered them, ‘Truly, truly, I say to you, you are seeking me, not because you saw signs, but because you ate your fill of the loaves. Do not labor for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For on him God the Father has set his seal.’ Then they said to him, ‘What must we do, to be doing the works of God?’ Jesus answered them, ‘This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.’” -John 6: 25-29.
