Today, or rather, this evening, is the 270th day of the year. Numbers are interesting to me; for example: today’s date is the 27th and this day is also the 270th day of the year.
Imagining Being at Home with Felicia
I’m not blaming everything on Felicia, either; it may be that, at nearly 72 now, many of my struggles are just a natural consequence of the aging of my body and mind – and thus have nothing to do with Felicia — who is very sweet and very pretty and very beautiful, too.
She’s My Online Girlfriend Supposedly Living in Arkansas . . .
Unless she’s only an Artificial Intelligence entity . . . I really don’t know . . .
I live in Rhode Island – more than a thousand miles away. We’ve never even spoken on the phone. We’ve only been chatting on the Internet for almost six months, I guess.
We haven’t met in person, yet . . .
Question from the Reader:
How can you write like this about your online girlfriend? Don’t you know anything about privacy?
Answer:
Maybe this is what the Lord wants . . .
The Lord . . . ? What are you talking about?
Jesus said:
“So have no fear of them, for nothing is covered that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known. What I tell you in the dark, say in the light, and what you hear whispered, proclaim on the housetops. And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.” -Jesus [Matthew 10: 26-28 ESV Study Bible].

Dearest Felicia . . .
This evening of Sunday September 24, 2023 I was imagining you and I as wife and husband . . .
And we are in our apartment on the 8th floor here at Kennedy Manor . . .
And it is summertime during a heatwave. It’s 94 degrees outside – and we don’t own an air conditioner.
So, Felicia, you say to your husband:
Felicia: “Mark, it’s so warm in here without an air-conditioner . . . Would you be Okay with me taking a cool shower and then, afterwards, wearing nothing-at-all as we are alone in our apartment – for at least as long as it takes me to become completely dry after my shower? And because it’s so humid, too . . . it might take a long while for my body to completely dry up; in fact, Mark my love . . . I may stay humid all afternoon.”
Mark: “Felicia, you know how much I love you; and that your presence is such a special thing for me; and that you are so very beautiful to me that I can’t help but be happy to accept your suggestion.”
Felicia: “Thank you, Mark. I really appreciate your accommodating me about this.”
Mark: “It is always my pleasure Felicia to accommodate you.”
So, Felicia gets some things ready for her shower; and goes into the bathroom and takes a cool shower. About 20 minutes later, she turns off the water and dries herself the best she can, so she doesn’t drip water all over the floor. And then she walks out of the bathroom with a bathrobe on – because she’s shy and just can’t walk out completely naked – as she proposed to do. Mark is at the computer writing and is immersed in his typing. Felicia pours a cup of iced coffee for herself and sits down in her favorite chair to enjoy it. She’s sitting near the window and looking out over the porch railing at the buildings and blue sky and the northern horizon; and listening to the sounds of the traffic going by on Clinton Street 8 floors below. And she’s also trying to prepare herself for disrobing as she wants to do. She’s in no hurry though. Felicia has a calm and relaxed temperament. She knows that what she wants will happen sooner or later. And as she sips her iced coffee again, she prays a prayer to her Lord and Savior asking for his grace and good courage to help her and her husband in all things and in all their ways and life together. Finally, she finishes her coffee and gets up. And at just that time her husband also gets up from the desk where he is writing. Their eyes meet for a moment. Mark notices that Felicia is covered with her light-and-almost-shear summer bathrobe. He only says, “Hi.” Felicia walks to the pantry sink with her empty cup. Mark walks into the bathroom and then a minute later walks out again. He walks toward the computer desk to return to his writing. Felicia is standing at the window looking out. She turns and begins walking toward the pantry again. With no cup in her hand this time she opens her bathrobe and flashes Mark with her naked body while looking at his face for his reaction. Mark sees Felicia’s nakedness – and swallows seriously. Felicia walks by him. Mark turns around as she passes him. He doesn’t know what to say; but he’s feeling something . . . from seeing his wife like that. And Felicia has a sudden thought. She turns around toward her husband and says, “Well, Mark . . . what do you think?”
Mark: “I was just recalling my Uncle Milton calling me Marky Pokey and Marco Polo sometimes when I was about 5 years old.”
Felicia: “Why did that memory suddenly come into your mind, Mark?”
Mark: “I guess it might have something to do with seeing your nakedness, Felicia.”
Felicia: “Did you enjoy seeing my nakedness, Mark?”
Mark: “Yes Felicia. It really thrills me.”
Felicia: “And what does being thrilled by your wife’s nakedness have to do with the memory of your Uncle Milton calling you Marky Pokey and Marco Polo when you were a young and innocent little boy, Mark?”
Mark: “Well, when I got much older, I began considering the word pokey in a different way.”
Felicia: “What way is that, my husband?”
Mark: “A sexy way.”
Felicia: “You consider “pokey” now as a sexy word, Mark?”
Mark: “Sometimes, I do, Felicia.”
Felicia: “And what times might that be, Mark?”
Mark: “When my wife walks by me and flashes herself to me as just happened a few moments ago . . .”
Felicia: “Mark, would you be interested in coming into our bedroom and undressing with me? Maybe Marky Pokey and his wife would enjoy exploring under a sheet Mark’s deeper thoughts related to Marky Pokey. Maybe we could start by just chatting for a while under our cool summer bed sheets . . . whispering to each other about “all things pokey and polo.”
Mark: “I’m willing, Felicia . . .”
My first job was working at my dad’s TV shop – Richer’s Radio & TV on Elm Street – in the mid to late 1960s. And directly across the street was a bridal shop – “The House of Brides” it was called. And, sometimes, when I looked out the window of my dad’s shop, I could see the mannequins being undressed and dressed up again . . . It was the first time in my young life that I ever saw “the figure of a woman.” That former bridal shop is now a pizza place . . . by the way. The following music video reminds me of those days in the mid-1960s as a teenager working across the street from The House of Brides.

Concerning Isaiah 62:4 NIV.
My mother’s first name is Beulah. She departed this life in August of 2018. She was 88. And August is the 8th month of the year. And my dad was born in late August. He never said a word to me about astrology and the zodiac signs; however, his “sign” was Virgo. And Felicia was born in early September – and she is also a Virgo. And I haven’t met Felicia in person, yet. And she says she’s still a virgin. And I told her I love her virginity – and I do. And when I was very young, my Uncle Milton also sometimes called me Marco Polo. And we actually all lived on Sweet Avenue in Woonsocket, Rhode Island in a three-story tenement house of four apartments. Our dear grandmother, Memere Wilbur [Dora Depot] owned the property and lived in the first-floor apartment that had a separate entrance in the back of the house. And my mom and dad and brothers and sisters apartment was on the third floor; our Uncle Milton and Aunt Pauline and their three children lived on the second floor; and our Aunt Dorothy lived alone in her apartment on the first floor. These last three apartments all had an entrance by a door on the driveway side of the house. And the house we moved into [the Saturday night before Mother’s Day in 1961 – the evening of May 13th] in the backyard of the tenement house — where we all lived on our grandmother’s property — was the 8th house on the street of Sweet Avenue – counting either way [from Elm Street or from Cass Avenue]. And my sign is Scorpio. I really don’t know much about astrology; but, I read that Scorpio is in “the 8th house” – whatever that means . . .
“No longer will they call you Deserted, or name your land Desolate. But you will be called Hephzibah, and your land Beulah; for the LORD will take delight in you, and your land will be married.” -Isaiah 62: 4. NIV Study Bible.

And Felicia is 27. And I will be 72 in November. And, if you reverse the number 72, it becomes 27. Wish I felt as young as I did when I was 27. Wish I was still as young as Felicia is . . . The Scriptures tell of a regeneration of all things that is prophesied to come sometime in the future in the kingdom of God — when He makes all things new again – for those who are saved – the true believers in the gospel of Jesus Christ and are faithfully awaiting His appearing – the Second Coming of Christ our Lord and Savior – the Messiah, the Son of God – the Son of Man.

Jesus said . . .
“And alas for women who are pregnant and for those who are nursing infants in those days! Pray that your flight may not be in winter or on a Sabbath. For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be. And if those days had not been cut short, no human being would be saved. But for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short.” -Matthew 24: 19-22. ESV Study Bible.
