About Faith

Pressing the Presto Button
There was this place at the carnival with a button. It was at the formerly-called Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Carnival in Woonsocket, Rhode Island at Park Square – not far from Providence Street where Doreen Picard had lived.
If you pressed the button while believing in your heart that the door would open, it would open; but, if you didn’t believe the door would open when you pressed the button, then the door would not open. The door was called:
The Door of Faith
Many people tried it.
It opened for a few.
It opened not for many.
An observer standing nearby noticed something about the difference between those who succeeded in opening the door; and those who didn’t get the door to open.
Those who succeeded often closed their eyes when they pressed the button as if they were saying a silent prayer in their believing heart. And those who failed to get the door to open usually just pressed the button with an air of disdain or contempt or madness or irritability.
The observer thought to himself: It seems to be a matter of faith in the heart: Those with a pure and believing heart find the open door. And those without pure and believing and sincere hearts do not find The Open Door –
At least not until they are changed

There was this little girl at the carnival. She saw the Presto Button Booth. She wanted to both open the door and see what was there when the door opened. She stood in line and waited for her turn.
She pressed the button and immediately the door opened. She saw Jesus. She knew it was Him by the imprint of the nails on both His hands and His feet. Then she noticed a beautiful young lady beside Him.
Mary: “Lord, who is She standing beside You ?”
Jesus: “She is Lady Doreen, My Good Friend.”
