Writing to Michaela Again
Dear Michaela, I have to correspond with you this way – because I’m not able to talk with you at your place of work. I just want to tell you that I could not be a cashier. I’d be so nervous — and for many reasons — trying to do that job. [I want to write about the word “JOB” later]. And although I did work at Almacs for a few months in the 1970s – at The Lincoln Mall – it was only as a bagger; and taking care of shopping carts in the parking lot; and doing some stocking of the shelves. Cashiering, I understand, has so very many details to keep in mind; and with the customers watching everything – and often a line of them all waiting to be taken care of . . . well I just couldn’t do it. Also, I have a hand tremor – a benign intentional tremor – as soon as I try to type anything my hands would start shaking – so, I’d make mistakes and have to correct them; so, I wouldn’t be able to do things quickly and correctly. And lifting heavy items – such as gallons of milk – might aggravate my right shoulder. And anyway, at 73, I’m retired.
So, I write now. It requires typing, of course; but, since no one is standing here watching every move I make; and I can sit down; and take my time; I can do it without being nervous about it.
And, I like being able to add some music to my writing work. It’s a nice change of pace to just stop and relax and listen to beautiful music for a few minutes. Like right now for example.

Now about the word JOB. Last Wednesday on my walk to the supermarket where I noticed you but said nothing because I sense you wish that I just let you be, I stopped at a cemetery – not Precious Blood Cemetery – a different one – on Rathbun Street. There is a tombstone there that I first noticed a few decades ago; because of the birth dates of two people buried there. One is a woman who has the same birthdate as two young women I have met in my life – when I was also young. And on the opposite side of that same tombstone is the name of a man – who seems to be her younger brother. And his birth date is the same as mine. And there are also the names of their parents; and of another younger woman – who may be the daughter of the woman with the birthdate of my girlfriend-and-classmate from grade school. I understand this is difficult to follow. Anyway, the father of them all – his first name is Job – which you may recall is the name of a man who has a book of the Bible named after him. And the Job whose name is on the tombstone – his wife’s name is Jennie B. And their daughter’s name – the woman with the birthdate of my girlfriend of “The Summer of ‘74” – and also the birthdate of the young woman I corresponded with for more than two years – beginning in 1980 – who was valedictorian of her class at Bellingham High School – the daughter’s name is also Jennie B. – the same name as her mother. And the other younger woman – whose name is listed alone on a separate side of the tombstone – her name is Florence I Livingstone. There is no husband nor children listed below her name. She lived about 80 years – ‘till 1975. And her father lived to be about 85 years old. His name is Thomas Livingstone. And two brothers of Jennie B. Livingstone both lived ‘till they were only about 21 and 23 years old. The one who has my birthday on November 14th was born in 1861 – 90 years before I was born – James Pickford. There are seven (7) people listed on the tombstone: the mom and dad; the daughter and her husband; their daughter; and two brothers. It is possible that at some time in my life I may have seen Florence I. Livingstone – since I was about 23 years old in 1975 – the last year of her life.

And Michaela, your name is the female form of Michael. And there is a powerful angel, an archangel, mentioned in the Bible. His name is Michael. And in the name Mark is the word ark. So, I really don’t know if, maybe you and I are spiritually-related . . . somehow. Maybe, somehow, we are sister-and-brother. Maybe we both have the same Father – maybe God the Father as revealed in the holy Scriptures – is both your Father and my Father ?

And Michaela, the last name Livingstone reminds me of Jonathan Livingston Seagull. My brother Dale gave me the book with that title for Christmas in the 1960s. I read it all. And years later, Neil Diamond sang – and perhaps wrote –many beautiful songs about Jonathan Livingston Seagull.
Michaela, as I was listening to the above Prologue, I saw in the name DIAMOND the Biblical words declaring God’s name to Moses: I Am.

And just up the road of Rathbun Street in Woonsocket – where Oak Hill Cemetery is – where I found the tombstone of Job Pickford and his wife Jennie B. Pickford – just up the road about 8 minutes walking – is Precious Blood Cemetery – at the corner of Diamond Hill Road and Rathbun Street in Woonsocket – on the way to Blackstone, and Bellingham, Massachusetts – just a few walking steps from each other are those two towns entered by walking up Social Street ‘till that street inherits a new name, a different name: Pulaski Boulevard – just as Michelle’s name became Michaela – in this writing — as she is born again by the grace of God through a living faith in the Living Word of God – Jesus Christ the Son of God Most High – Redeemer and Savior and Lord over All – especially believers.

May the family of Doreen Picard forgive me for writing this about Doreen. I understand it must be very painful. I do not want to be a cause of pain to Doreen’s family. They have suffered so very much already. May True God forgive me – in the name of his Son our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
Today, June 1st, 2025 I’ve been imagining being in the cellar on Providence Street and seeing Doreen between the washer and the dryer. And I cry and kneel down and put my arms around her blood-soaked body and kiss her and become covered with her sacrificial blood. And my heart breaks open in love with her – and merges with her. And my heart and my life want to be united with her. And I remember Sleeping Beauty suddenly being awakened when a man comes and kisses her. And I want Doreen Picard to awaken and be restored to perfect health and strength and Eternal Life in Christ.
Doreen Picard . . . A Living Symbol of Christ Crucified – this time — on Providence Street – the Providence of God . . . living yet resting now — in the hope of being raised up at The Resurrection — and Gloriously Regenerated and with Eternal Life and in the Beauty of Holiness . . . and with Joy and Peace in the New Heavens and the New Earth that Are coming at the Second Coming of Christ and the Renewal of All Things in Him – for those who receive the love of the truth. Then there will be peace – rather than fear and panic.
