“You Can’t Enjoy a Watermelon Until It’s Broken Open”

And We Can’t Enter Eternal Life Unless Our Heart Is Broken Open;

Otherwise it’s only a hard-shelled seed —

That hasn’t sprouted, hasn’t entered into True Life yet; hasn’t been born again.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not anything made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” -John 1:1-5. ESV Study Bible.

“You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me, yet you refuse to come to me that you may have life.” -Jesus. [John 5: 39-40. ESV Study Bible.

World Vision, a charity, used to say:

“Let your heart be broken [open] by the things that break the heart of God.”

God the Father’s heart must have broken open when his Son,

Jesus Christ was on the Cross shedding His Blood – the Precious Blood of God –

And

Dying to pay the penalty for the sins of the whole world.

We can only be partakers of Christ crucified for our trespasses and raised again for our justification, if we become true believers in Him, the Son of God –

And – by the grace of God —

Receive Him by faith into our hearts as Lord and Saviour and Redeemer;

And receive his Holy Spirit, Whom Jesus sends into the hearts of those who believe on Him as their Lord and Redeemer and Savior.

Otherwise, we are left in the outer darkness —

Where the unrepentant sinners are —

Trusting in themselves that they are righteous – apart from

The Righteousness of God —

Jesus Christ.

They are the Proud Ones

And the Deceived Ones.

They don’t understand that Pride is a sin in The Sight of God.

They don’t realize they are

Proud of their sinful nature.

They are in spiritual darkness.

They are unable to see clearly by the Light of the World – Jesus Christ.

Romans 1-3 ESV

Romans 1-3 ESV – Greeting – Paul, a servant of Christ – Bible Gateway

“The Pharisees, who were lovers of money, heard all these things, and they ridiculed him. And he said to them, ‘You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is exalted among men is an abomination in the sight of God.’” -Luke 16: 14, 15. ESV Study Bible.

They look askance upon The Gospel of Christ; holding the false opinion that they don’t need to believe it.

At their judgment God will look askance at them who despised His Living  Word – and His Work of Redemption and Salvation — by which God broke His heart open for them; but they were not willing to receive His Love and His Mercy; and come in to His kingdom; and become members of His Family and live in His Household as His Children.

They chose not to belong to Him — the Father of Us All.

They chose to remain illegitimate children.

They remain under the deceiving influence of the god of this world. [see 2 Corinthians 4: 3, 4. ESV Study Bible concerning “the god of this world”].

They walk in spiritual darkness all their unbelieving lives –

Proud of themselves

Trusting in themselves

Believing in themselves

Separated from Eternal Life in Christ.

“I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.” -Jesus. [John 15: 5. ESV Study Bible].

If the legislators fail to raise taxes on the wealthy . . .

Then God will break open

The Watermelon of the World

For

All to Enjoy His Goodness —

As the wealth of True God’s Creation becomes available for all to enjoy –

After the wicked are all gone; no longer able to hoard the wealth of the earth unto themselves any longer; no longer depriving the many of enough food, clothing and shelter – because of inequity — the unequal distribution of worldly wealth in the hands of The Few enormously wealthy.

And the corrupt, corporate global system will pass away –

Along with its idolatrous love of money and love of temporary things.

“Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions—is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.” -1 John 2: 15-17. ESV Study Bible.

When we become born again Jesus sends his Holy Spirit into our hearts, the Helper – the Spirit of truth and understanding. And by this Helper we are enabled to do what True God teaches us to do:

“Now after John was arrested, Jesus came into Galilee, proclaiming the gospel of God, and saying, ‘The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.’” -Mark 1: 14, 15. ESV Study Bible.

“But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.” -Titus 3: 4-7. “There were some present at that very time who told him about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. And he answered them, ‘Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans, because they suffered in this way? No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish. Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them: do you think they were worse offenders than all the others who lived in Jerusalem? No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.’” -Jesus. [Luke 13: 1-5. ESV Study Bible].
