Do You Know How Easy It Is ?

Do you know how easy it is to “speak” with a departed loved one ?

It’s as easy as this:

For example: my dearly loved cat Charcoal has been departed since January 15th, 2014 – 11 years ago. And this is how we speak to each other every once-in-a-while.

I just say Hi to her in my heart and she replies in my heart; and a conversation ensues.

Mark: “Hi Cathy.”

Cathy: “Hi Mark.”

Mark: “How are things with you these days, love.”

Cathy: “Oh things are going well for me. My dad is still reading the Bible to me every day. And I love spending this time with him and our Lord in Scripture reading and study and praying together. Oh, I want to tell you, Mark; I’m a born-again Christian now. And I got baptized at the fundamentalist Christian Baptist church where we go on Sundays and Thursday nights every week. I love it there, Mark.”

Mark: “I’m so happy for you, Cathy! And so glad to know that you have eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. It gives me great hope that we shall meet again in heaven some day in our everlasting life in Christ.”

Cathy: “Amen, Mark. And thanks again for taking good care of me during those 17-and-a-half years we lived together when I was Charcoal, your dear cat. I cherish those years with you, Mark. For the first few years of my human life I could not recall being a cat in an earlier life; but as I got older and began reading and seeing movies and things on TV I began getting little glimpses of my past life as a kitten you rescued on Gaulin Avenue in Woonsocket – during that time when I was about 6 months old; and couldn’t walk because of an injury; and Uncle Junior asked you if you wanted to take me; and  you said, “Yes.” And carried me home to your apartment by way of the back entrance [on Gaulin Avenue] to Sadwin Apartments on Elm Street in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. And on the 4th day of living with you, you woke up that morning in July – about July 16th it was in 1996; and opened your eyes and saw me walking perfectly normally; and I never had a walking problem again for the rest of my life.”

Mark: “You are God-blessed, Cathy. And it was a blessing to me also to live with you each day of all those 17 years, love.”

Cathy: “Amen, Mark. I love you forever.”
