The One Thing You Can Never Give Anyone

 Is —

Nothing.

Because, if you actually gave someone nothing,

Then you gave him something – nothing.

Now, wouldn’t that be something ?

Let’s say you turned your back to someone and just walked away thinking:

“I gave him nothing.”

Well, he may think you gave him some peace and quiet – and that’s something.

So, in conclusion . . .

You see, you can’t give anyone nothing.

And there’s a saying:

“Absence makes the heart grow fonder.”

So, if you stayed away from someone who cared for you –

Their heart would grow fonder for you –

And thus, you gave him something –

A heart brimming with fondness for you.

Maybe that’s why the Lord made some people to be single —

So, their heart would grow fonder.

And you know what happens if you think too much ?

Nothing.

Well, maybe you become a writer.
