I almost didn’t go out walking today
It was so cold and kind of windy, too
But, after my tiredness went away
I felt like getting out there
So, to make the walk more worthwhile
I went to the supermarket for a few items
Walking to the supermarket is more meaningful than merely walking around and coming home with nothing.
For many years just taking a walk was just fine with me.
Now it seems I need more than exercise.
So . . .
I came home with English muffins, yogurt, molasses and . . .
[I have to check the receipt]
Couldn’t remember the fourth item
Pancake mix.
$16.87
The entire trip took 67 minutes
Wore a heavy coat with scarf and sweater and heavy knit hat and gloves
And still needed to keep my hands in my pockets.
Walked up Rathbun Street
Passed the house where three people recently passed away.
God bless that family and all their neighbors and friends. Amen.

Somehow, I always understood a different meaning to what the lyrics say.
I always understood that they were not really advocating being isolationists.
It always seemed to me that they were only exposing the isolationist lifestyle.
Maybe it was because of all their other songs that I understood this one more deeply.

And if my own lifestyle seems isolationist . . .
Maybe the Lord is making me live this way –
So that, eventually, my heart may break open –
And sprout . . .

And – all-of-sudden — a sprout begins to peek out –
As something entirely new begins to live . . .
And — at first – that new thing may not appear to be much of anything . . .
But . . .
With tender loving care and hope and enduring until the end . . .
Something we cannot imagine may happen . . .

And, maybe, all the worldly wickedness and folly that politics is demonstrating is also for the purpose of exposing for All to See that worldliness – in all forms – is only a vain thing – and – thankfully – only temporary.
So that, when the Kingdom of God comes – and the Eternal State that will never pass away – We Who Are Faithfully Waiting for the Second Coming of Christ – will be richly rewarded – with resurrection and glorious regeneration and eternal life in Christ – in His Father’s Kingdom.

While listening to the above song – Agnus Dei – noticed that the first three letters of Alleluia are ALL; and then remembered a Scripture with that word: All.
