A Weird Imagining
Remember, this is only imaginary . . .
Felicia: “Mark, I’m so upset with you right now that I’m imagining we do something weird together. Only then might I begin getting over my irritability with you, maybe. I don’t know for sure if I’d get over it – or if I’d just want you to keep letting me do it anyway.”
Mark: “Felicia, I want you to know that there’s something about you that makes me imagine that even if you did something weird to me, I might actually enjoy it.”
Felicia: “Well then, Mark, that encourages me to feel I can tell you my weird imagining and maybe you’ll actually like it.”
Mark: “I really want to hear your imagining, Felicia. Please tell me.”
Felicia: “I’m imagining telling you to open your mouth – so I can spit into it – and then tell you to swallow it; and then, if you are willing . . . I’ll give you a long open-mouth kiss – and, maybe we’ll even play with each other’s tongues as we continue to kiss for a long time together.”
Mark: “That sounds exciting and intimate and pleasurable to me, Felicia. I’m willing.”
Felicia: “Alright then, mark – open your mouth for me.” So, mark opens his mouth; and Felicia steps up close to him; and she looks at his face for a long moment to remember him this way – with his mouth open for her – waiting for her to do it to him – and with him. And she puts her arms around him in anticipation that she may really enjoy doing all this to him and with him. And she gets even closer – her mouth very close to his – and she spits into Mark’s mouth. Then she steps back a little; and she says to mark, “Now swallow it, Mark!” And Mark swallows Felicia’s spit. And then she asks him, “Are you okay, Mark?” And Mark says, “Yes, Felicia. I’m feeling just fine. I found that experience delicious – delicious and felicious.” Felicia laughs and says, “You must really love me, Mark – if you actually enjoy my spit-in-your-mouth – and swallow it, too.”
Mark: “I do really love you, Felicia. The pictures you sent me really affected me.” Felicia laughs again. There’s a big smile on her face. She reminds Mark of Eileen during “the summer of ‘74” when things were going so romantically – for the first few months of that memorable summer. Now Mark is 74. And the new century is only 26 years old. How life has changed. Mark is getting old while the new century is still young.
Felicia: “Are you ready and willing for me to kiss your open mouth – and for a long time we also play with each other’s tongues, Mark?”
Mark: “Mark takes a long breath of anticipation and says, “Yes Felicia.” So, Felicia steps close to Mark again and puts her arms around him again; and she kisses his mouth with her open mouth. And Mark puts his arms around Felicia as they are kissing open-mouth and is really enjoying kissing with Felicia – Delicia Felicia.
Felicia: “Mark, I don’t know if you can take this; but, I have another imagining of us doing another weird thing together – it’s an additional thing to the spitting and the kissing, Mark.”
Mark: “What is this additional thing, Felicia ?”
Felicia: “After spitting in your mouth and you swallow it, Mark – I would like to slap your face; and then put my arms around you and open-mouth kiss you again for a long time; and we play with each other’s tongues again. Are you willing and able to accept this additional step in our weird loving-making, Mark?”
Mark: “Yes Felicia.”
Felicia: “Are you sure, Mark?”
Mark: “Yes Felicia. I have never in all my life been slapped across my face; but – with you – I honestly believe that with your arms around me afterwards – and us kissing open-mouth for a long and sensuous and pleasurable time together – I will find it to be a wonderful and lovely experience with you.”
Felicia: “How can that be, Mark?”
Mark: “There’s something about you, Felicia, that makes your spit and your slap – and long-kissing open-mouth with you – and your loving and warm arms around me — a very beautiful and loving experience for me.”
Felicia: “I’m having some other thoughts now, Mark – concerning thoughts.”
Mark: “What is concerning your thoughts, Felicia?”
Felicia: “I’m feeling concerned that slapping your face may be against the Lord. And that I will be in fear that I have awakened his wrath toward me – for slapping you – and also for spitting into your mouth – and wanting you to swallow my spit.”
Mark: “Well, there are Scriptures that tell us that we should fear the Lord. He requires all of us to fear Him; and also to love Him; and love our neighbor as we love ourselves.”
Felicia: “I’m afraid to slap you now, Mark – afraid of the Lord. I do not want the wrath of God to be upon me. I could not be happy that way. I no longer want to spit in your mouth, either, Mark.”
Mark: “Do you want to at least put your arms around me and kiss me?”
Felicia: “I suddenly don’t want anything now. I feel dejected. I feel undone. I feel empty inside.”
Mark: “I don’t know what to say now.”
Felicia: “Just go away, Mark.”
Mark: “This has become like the month of August during that “summer of ’74.”
Felicia: “What did you do after that romantic summer with Eileen came to an end, Mark?”
Mark: “I felt depressed. I kept going to work, though. And then about three years later Andree wrote to me about the gospel; and I became a believer in Jesus Christ, the Son of God. So, I became hopeful that – after this life on earth is over – there will be something much better.”
Felicia: “And what is there to look forward to – after this life is over ?”
Mark: “According to the Scriptures there will be new heavens and a new earth; and believers will be gloriously regenerated – with new bodies just like our risen Savior after His resurrection. And we will be blessed with eternal life.”
Felicia: “Mark, may I kiss you, please? May I put my arms around you and we just kiss – a long kiss, Mark?”
Mark: “Yes Felicia.” So, Felicia and Mark kiss again.
Felicia: “What did Andree tell you in her letters – concerning the gospel, Mark?”
Mark: “I only remember now that she quoted Scriptures to me from The New Testament; and I began realizing that Jesus Christ is the Lord and Savior; and so, I became a believer in him as my personal Lord and Savior; and I got baptized at Blackstone Valley Baptist Church on May 14th, 1978. And I read all the Bible in about 5 months from Genesis to Revelation.”
Felicia: “Do I remind you of Eileen, Mark ?”
Mark: “Well, you look a lot like her – your blonde hair and fair skin color and pretty face. And she was 21; but that was about 51-and-a-half years ago. I was born in 1951; and Eileen’s mother was in her mid-forties, I guess. And now, Eileen’s daughter is in her late forties; and her daughter’s daughter must be in her 20s.”
Felicia: “And what does that have to do with me, Mark?”
Mark: “I wonder about many things — even wonder sometimes if you are Eileen’s daughter’s daughter.”
Felicia: “What is her name?”
Mark: “I don’t know.”
Felicia: “Have you ever met Eileen’s daughter and her daughter’s daughter?”
Mark: “No. I only briefly spoke on the phone once to Eileen’s daughter – more than 30 years ago – when she was about 12 years old.”
Felicia: “Do you have any other thoughts about Eileen?”
Mark: “She and her family lived in a white house in the North End of Woonsocket, Rhode Island. The address is 116 Glen Road. And I occasionally walk by that house again and stop and look at it; and there is a huge beech tree in the backyard; and a sunroom on each side of the house. And the number 116 reminds me of a sonnet by William Shakespeare.”
Felicia: “What is the name of that sonnet by William Shakespeare, Mark ?”
