If the Unbelievers Knew What Is Coming Upon the World That Lies in Wickedness

They would turn away from it –

They would want nothing to do with the corruption and lawlessness that is overtaking the world system – its ungodly politics, its lust for money and power, its increasing irresponsibility toward the poor; and the Country’s growing indebtedness, the injustice, the violence . . .

They would truly want to be saved from the wrath of God, the great tribulation, hell, and the lake of fire, eternal damnation.

However, unbelievers are in such deep spiritual darkness that they cannot see, nor comprehend the impending end of all things. Their hearts are in a state of contempt. Perhaps, they just don’t give a damn. Apathy may be their spiritual state of heart and mind and soul and spirit. Are they like dead fish floating down the river? Have they given up? Are  they are no longer alive ?

“Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.” -Jesus [Matthew 7: 13, 14. ESV Study Bible].

“This is why I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand. Indeed, in their case the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled that says:

‘You will indeed hear but never understand,

And you will indeed see but never perceive.

For this people’s heart has grown dull,

And with their ears they can barely hear,

And their eyes they have closed,

Lest they should see with their eyes

   And hear with their ears

And understand with their heart

And turn, and I would heal them.’

But blessed are your eyes, for they see, and your ears, for they hear. For truly, I say to you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.

“Hear then the parable of the sower.” -Jesus [Matthew 13: 13-18 ESV Study Bible].
