A Valentine Story
It all begins with a word —

Little Hiawatha and Pow Wow the Indian Boy were preparing to go hunting in the woods.
Little Hiawatha, though, recalled his earlier experience; and how he broke his bow and arrow and became a friend to all the animals in the woods. And they subsequently helped save his life from a very angry mother bear; so that he was able to get out of the woods with his life. Therefore, he wasn’t comfortable about returning to his former way of hunting animals in the woods.

And then, a beautiful thing happened in the lives of Pow Wow and Little Hiawatha; a beautiful young lady came into their lives.
She was so beautiful that both Pow Wow and Little Hiawatha forgot all about hunting.
They were mesmerized by Lady Scrumdiddlyumptious.
That name was too long, though, so they called her the lady of the Lord – because their hearts found her so adorable.
Her beautiful presence overwhelmed both of them. They wanted to take her picture.
And just then, an angel appeared to them – an angel of the Lord.
He showed them four Scriptures. Exodus 20: 3-6 ESV.
“You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the LORD your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing steadfast love to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments.” -Exodus 20: 3-6 ESV.
“Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished. Therefore whoever relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” -Jesus, the Son of God [Matthew 5: 17-20 ESV Study Bible].
Consequently, Pow Wow the Indian boy turned his attention to Bible study. He became a born-again Christian. And he was baptized in a Bible-believing Baptist church.
“And he said to them, ‘Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.’” -Jesus the Son of God [Mark 16:16 ESV Study Bible].

Little Hiawatha wanted to find a girlfriend and marry her when he was old enough.
Thus, they both began great and difficult tasks in life – being a Christian in a world that doesn’t love nor believe in the Lord and Savior – and trying to get along with and love a woman who wants her lover’s total devotion — without regard for True God.
Just as Little Hiawatha had to break his bow and arrow in repentance of hunting and seeking to kill innocent and defenseless animals living in their own habitat – and be proud of himself — he had to endure – in sincere humility — his heart being broken open and sprouting to become truly devoted to True God — Who is Spirit — rather than flesh.
“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” -2 Corinthians 3: 17 ESV.
