Wonderful Things Happening Lately
It is 5:29 AM on February 23rd, 2026.
We are in the midst of another blizzard.
My porch door window has water on the outside –
As if it’s only raining outdoors now.
I opened the apartment door and then the porch door and reached my hand outside and around the door to touch the rainwater on the window with my finger tips of my left hand.
Yesterday something special happened.
I saw someone outside my windows and far away – across Clinton Street and across Social Street. She was to the left of Bouley Park beyond the olde Castle Luncheonette restaurant. She just stood still out there for the longest time as I watched with my dad’s binoculars wondering what she was up to. Just to her left was a cement foundation with a red, white and blue flag-like mural on it – and the Mill River began flowing underground there. It continues underground to John F. Kennedy Manor – where it runs under the parking lot – and finally empties into the Blackstone River – all the way from Milford, Massachusetts. She disappeared from view for a while – just as the river disappears from view; and then part of a new green pup tent appeared right next to that cement wall with the mural in red, white and blue. The Lord’s Spirit – the Spirit of truth and understanding – helped me understand. She intended to camp out there – during the blizzard! And this coming blizzard is predicted to afflict us with very strong winds that could send her pup tent rolling over and over with her in it! She intended to endure the coming blizzard right there – to the left of the baseball park all alone.
I realized the Lord was bringing this event to my attention for a reason – and that I must do something to help her – whoever she was. And I recalled that a life-guard at Social Pond in the mid-1960s saved me from drowning in Social Pond when I was about 10 years old.
At about 11:45 AM I got dressed and went out there to meet that one out there.
A few minutes later, we met.
We went to Burger King.
We went to the bank.
We hugged.
She walked.
I walked.
At home I took a shower.
I was nervous.
Was trying to recall her last name.
Could not remember it.
Only her first name.
Kept looking out my windows.
Finally – a few hours later — saw two women out there.
The pup tent was taken down.
They drove away.
Looked like the car went up Social Street
Then took a right on Pond Street.
Hope she will be born again
And begin a glorious new life
And the Lord will give her a new name
And she will live
On Golden Pond . . .
Saw that movie so many years ago –
Can’t remember what happened . . .
I truly believe the Lord God Almighty
Has a glorious new life prepared for her . . .
A Life in His Kingdom
A Life that will never end . . .
A Life that will always be good . . . and never grow olde.

The blizzard is happening out there.

Found her first name in my booklet of names for boys and girls.
It means:
“From the ash tree meadow” Old English derivation.
Found other names in the list that begin with “A”
April means “Sun and flowers”
Audrey means “Golden”
At the restaurant she received some gospel tracts.
Hope we meet again.
The water on the outside of my porch door is gradually becoming icy now at 6:12 AM.
Feeling sleepy . . .
Going back to bed.
