Outside My Windows

On

March 12th

This is what I saw.

Looked like the narrow path leading to the tent had been trashed with discarded colorful clothing.

Later, a woman appeared. I wondered if she was Ashley.

She seemed to be raking the path with a tool. She was there for a long time. It seemed that the path – about 15 feet long – before it veers left toward the tent – could have been cleared in about 15 minutes or less – but that isn’t how things went.

Then, 5 or 6 adults came by and approached the narrow way – where the lone woman was raking. Then, all of them – including the woman – walked away from the path together – and gathered near 2 motor vehicles parked near the home plate area of Bouley Field. Then, when I looked again with the binoculars, they were all gone – including the vehicles.

Then, a while later, I looked again. The woman was in the narrow way again clearing it as she had been doing before. Then, a man approached the narrow way – and he began working with the woman at clearing the debris in the path. This all continued for several hours.

Finally, when I looked again, the woman and the man were gone; and the path was clear. About three white plastic bags were along the fence – just outside the path. And, inside the narrow path – at the far end — just before the left turn toward the tent – there was something folded that appeared to be made of heavy plastic and resting on the ground. I wondered if it was Ashley’s pup tent that she had erected on February 22nd – the afternoon before the blizzard began.
