I’ve been going through something for the past three weeks.
I believe I encountered someone who is a prostitute –
And more than a prostitute –
I think she’s possessed by the devil.
But what do I know about anything.
“We walk by faith not by sight.”
So, I must have nothing more to do with her, I tell myself.
We only hugged very briefly and gently on the day we met –
As we parted —
On that February 22nd day of 2026.
Then, I didn’t see her again for about 18 days.
And we did not communicate by phone nor email nor letter during that time.
Her pup tent re-appeared in the same place about 3 or 4 days ago.
I went there again –
How naïve and foolish of me to think I might be able to help her out of her homelessness.
We walked to Burger King again and went inside and bought some food and sat down.
She was very different this last time.
She was not alert.
She was very sleepy.
And she was “hen-pecking” me.
So, we walked back to her tent.
She said I was not a good friend because I wouldn’t buy her a propane-powered portable heater for her tent. I didn’t quarrel with her. I said I knew nothing about propane except that it is flammable. Privately, I thought she might burn down her pup tent if she had a propane-fueled heater inside. I never went inside her pup tent. She never invited me inside, either.
The next day, I went to see her again. She didn’t come out of her tent; but we spoke. I told her I had a peanut butter sandwich for her and a bottle of water; and a Bible. Inside that Bible were a gospel tract; and a poetry tract titled: The Rose. She permitted me to leave them on a foldable chair just outside her tent. So, that is what I did. And I walked away without seeing her face that day.

Today, from my apartment windows I saw a woman approach her tent. Apparently, this other woman went inside the tent. A few hours later, I saw a man depart from her pup tent.
She told me the first time we met on February 22nd that she gets money by “sucking cock.”
The last time we met — as we were walking back to her tent from the restaurant, she said she had to go to work. And she said so very quietly that I only just barely heard her say the phrase “sucking dick.”
When we reached her tent, she was telling me I wasn’t a good friend — for not helping her get a propane-fueled portable heater — and her tent was cold at night, she said. I peacefully said Bye and walked home.
The first time we met and went to the restaurant, I honestly enjoyed her company. She was very alert and had a nice personality.
Since that last time – 18 days later – she hasn’t been the same. And she also mentioned looking in her tent for her methadone. I asked her a question about methadone. She replied that I shouldn’t be asking questions. And her cousin told me she was in Rehab for 30 days and they took her phone away. But, just about 3 days later, I saw her; and her tent re-appeared – in exactly the same spot. And it had only been about 18 days since February 22nd. And she tells me I shouldn’t ask her any questions. And I realize that the only way to get along with her is to be agreeable – or say not a word — or she will start “hen-pecking” me. And I also sense that she’s on the verge of going mad if I should be assertive with her.
I understand I’m no match for her; so, I must let go. I must stay away. She isn’t ready to be a sheep – and follow the good shepherd Jesus Christ — the Lord and Savior of all men – especially believers.
Heavenly Father, in the name of my Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, please help me resist the heart-felt urge to go visit her again.

Maybe we’re all waiting on the LORD to tell the wicked where to go; and bring this whole wicked world system to a final end; and usher in the new heavens and the new earth – the home of righteousness.
And how is it that Nixon resigned because of Watergate; but now – isn’t this President doing much worse – and he isn’t resigning. Is it because the whole world has become much more corrupt than it was in the 1960s ? Is there no more clear sense of right and wrong and good and evil ?
Maybe, only the Lord God is able now to resist “the god of this world.”
