“Who Is This King of Glory?”
*
“A Few Good Men”
Yes, it was the title of a movie.
And a famous line in that movie is:
“You Can’t Handle the Truth!”
Well, how many men and women can handle this truth:
Jesus Christ
And this Truth
The Holy Scriptures
And, in particular,
The Gospel of Jesus Christ
“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’” -Read it in context -John 14:6 ESV Study Bible.
Are You Man, or Woman enough to receive that Truth?
Can You Believe God’s Word?
His written word: The Holy Scriptures
And
His Living Word
Jesus Christ
And come to the Father, the Father of mercies, through Him, through Jesus Christ, His Son.
“Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ. And whether we be afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer: or whether we be comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation. And our hope of you is steadfast, knowing, that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation.” -2 Corinthians 1:3-7 KJV.
And consider Psalm 24
“The earth is the LORD’S and the fullness thereof,
The world and those who dwell therein,
For he has founded it upon the seas
And established it upon the rivers.
Who shall ascend the hill of the LORD?
And who shall stand in his holy place?
He who has clean hands and a pure heart,
Who does not lift up his soul to what is false
And does not swear deceitfully.
He will receive blessing from the LORD
And righteousness from the God of his salvation.
Such is the generation of those who seek him,
Who seek the face of the God of Jacob.
Lift up your heads, O gates!
And be lifted up, O ancient doors,
That the King of glory may come in.
Who is this King of glory?
The LORD, strong and mighty,
The LORD, mighty in battle!
Lift up your heads, O gates!
And lift them up, O ancient doors,
That the king of glory may come in.
Who is this King of glory?
The LORD of hosts,
He is the King of glory!”
-Psalm 24:1-10 ESV Study Bible.

“Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.” -Matthew 7:13-14 ESV.
“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door but climbs in by another way, that man is a thief and a robber. But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the gatekeeper opens. The sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. A stranger they will not follow, but they will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers. This figure of speech Jesus used with them, but they did not understand what he was saying to them.
“So Jesus again said to them, ‘Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. All who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. He who is a hired hand and not a shepherd, who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees, and the wolf snatches them and scatters them. He flees because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep. I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me, just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep. And I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice. So there will be one flock, and one shepherd. For this reason the Father loves me, because I lay down my life that I may take it up again. No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This charge I have received from my Father.’
“There was again a division among the Jews because of these words. Many of them said, ‘He has a demon, and is insane; why listen to him?’ Others said, ‘These are not the words of one who is oppressed by a demon. Can a demon open the eyes of the blind?’” -John 10:1-21 ESV Study Bible.

“For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent,
For Jerusalem’s sake I will not remain quiet,
Till her righteousness shines out like the dawn,
Her salvation like a blazing torch.
The nations will see your righteousness,
And all kings your glory;
You will be called by a new name that the mouth of the LORD will bestow.
You will be a crown of splendor in the LORD’S hand,
A royal diadem in the hand of your God.
No longer will they call you Deserted,
Or name your land Desolate.
But you will be called Hephzibah, and your land Beulah;
For the LORD will take delight in you,
And your land will be married.
As a young man marries a maiden,
So will your sons marry you;
As a bride groom rejoices over his bride,
So will your God rejoice over you.
I have posted watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem;
They will never be silent day or night.
You who call on the LORD,
Give yourselves no rest,
And give him no rest till he establishes Jerusalem
And makes her the praise of the earth.
The LORD has sworn by his right hand and by his mighty arm:
Never again will I give your grain as food for your enemies,
And never again will foreigners drink the new wine for which you have toiled;
But those who harvest it will eat it and praise the LORD,
And those who gather the grapes will drink it
In the courts of my sanctuary.
Pass through, pass through the gates!
Prepare the way for the people.
Build up, build up the highway!
Remove the stones.
Raise a banner for the nations.
The LORD has made proclamation to the ends of the earth:
Say to the Daughter of Zion,
‘See, your Savior comes!
See, his reward is with him,
And his recompense accompanies him.’
They will be called the Holy People,
The Redeemed of the LORD;
And you will be called Sought After,
The City No Longer Deserted.” -Isaiah 62:1-12. NIV Study Bible.

Let me ask you something
What is your mother’s name?
Her name is Beulah
Really? Your mother’s name is Beulah?
Yes. Her name is Beulah.
And, according to the “Biblical Cyclopedic Index” of The Open Bible KJV (Copyright 1975) the name Beulah means “married” a symbol of true Israel . . . Is. 62:4, 5” page 65.
