“April and August In Dialogue_2
August: “April, I’m still thinking about my fair lady.”
April: “What about her, August?”
August: “Maybe my fair lady isn’t in London.”
April: “Where is she?”
August: “Maybe she’s in Missouri.”
April: “Why Missouri?”
August: “Well, I just noticed something curious about the spelling of the name Missouri.”
April: “What exactly did you notice?”
August: “Miss Our I.”
April: “Explain, please.”
August: “Well, maybe I Am missing something that will only appear to my understanding when I become complete with her.”
April: “And what are you missing, August?”
April: “You’re missing Shenandoah’s daughter, August?”
August: “I don’t really know with my mind, April. Something’s just stirring in my heart and soul. Just thought of another way of spelling that name: She_Nan _Doah.
April: “What is it, August?”
August: “Feelings, April.”
April: “What feelings are stirring around in there, August?”
August: “Crying feelings, April.”
April: “What is that saying about Missouri, August? ‘I’m from Missouri. Show me.’”
August: “Show you what, April?”
April: “Show me a box of chocolates, August.”
August: “Why, April?”
April: “Because “life is like a box of chocolates,” August.”
August: “Speaking of life, April: “Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.” -John 14:6, 7. NIV.
April: “I still want that box of chocolates, August.”
August: “I’ll give you a box of chocolates, April; but, we should be aspiring to greater things than chocolate, April.”
April: “What greater things, August?”
August: “The true bread from heaven that Jesus proclaimed. He is the “I” we are all missing in our lives and in our hearts and in our souls.
