Is
Like
The Garden of Eden
The Fire Drill
Is like the serpent in that Garden
The serpent is the devil in disguise
The devil is the father of lies
Eve, in the garden of Eden, listened to the serpent and believed the lie.
She disobeyed God’s Word.
Her husband did what she did.
God banished them from the garden of Eden.
John 16:1-33. NIV.
God’s Way of Salvation (John 3:16)
God Bless America – The Plaza Sing Along
It is because we all have that sinful nature we inherited from our first parents, Adam and Eve, that there is so much wickedness in the world that is destroying peace and health and causing sickness and death.
Those who are going along with the wicked ways of the world are not being saved.
They are turning to the world — [rather than turning away from it and believing the gospel of Christ].
Jesus, the Son of God, told us, told those who were willing and able to listen to Him:
“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” -Matthew 7:13, 14. NIV.
John 10:1-42.
Seek ye first the kingdom of God
As the Deer (with lyrics) – best heartwarming version
As the Deer – piano instrumental hymn with lyrics
Piano music reminds me of my dear friend, Andree. Way back in the winter of 1978, after the great blizzard of that winter, we began to correspond by letters in the mail. Andree told me she had become a Christian. I had not seen Andree for about 8 years. I wrote back to her that I believed that “all roads lead to God.” Andree wrote back to me quoting holy Scriptures from the Bible, Scriptures I had never read before. I found my old paperback Bible in my bookcase and began reading it with more understanding than I had before Andree’s letters. We continued to correspond by letter. And then, my sister Lesley invited me to go to a church with her and her husband. The pastor of that church had recently moved into a house directly across the street from Lesley. I went to church with her and her husband. And as I was sitting there waiting for the service to begin, Andree, who I thought was in Philadelphia at her seminary, came walking into the church. She sat down right in front of me without noticing me. We had not seen each other in 8 years. After the service we talked. Andree invited me to visit her at her seminary. I took a plane ride there. It was the first time I ever flew in an airliner. I met Andree’s classmates who gave their testimony concerning faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ. On the third day that I was there, Andree and I were walking this country road between her seminary and another college campus where Andree was living. It was the first week of April 1978, a beautiful sunny afternoon. I told Andree that I believe that the Bible is the Word of God. She asked me if I wanted to pray. I agreed. We walked into this open field beside the road and knelt down and prayed. And I confessed to God that I am a sinner and that I believe the gospel of Christ; and believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, our Lord and Saviour. And a few days later, I went back to Rhode Island where I lived and continued to read the Bible. I was out of work at that time and read the whole Bible from Genesis to Revelation in about 4 months. I got baptized at that church where I had met Andree. It was on May 14th, 1978, that I was baptized after the Sunday service.
Many years earlier, I was working at my Dad’s TV shop. He came into the Shop one day after a TV service call to Andree’s parents’ home. My Dad had been a friend of Andree’s mother when they were children. He told me Andree was there. And she was playing the piano. So, when I watch and listen to Christian music being played on the piano, like the one above, I remember Andree, who’s letters to me quoting the Bible concerning the gospel of Christ, brought the faith of Jesus Christ into my life.
