“Wasn’t There a Bubonic Plague Many Years Ago?”

Tuesday, March 17th, 2020. 12:21 PM.

Wasn’t there a bubonic plague many years ago?

Many people suffered and died.

Did the world leaders at that time try to control it?

Did they make declarations telling people to stop traveling and stay home?

Did they try to stop the people and curtail their freedoms?

Did they try to play god by trying to control the world?

The plague eventually stopped.

Maybe, instead of the things they are telling us to do today,

They ought to be telling us to pray.

Maybe they will never tell us to do that, though, because they are only worldly leaders.

And worldly leaders are of the world.

And the whole world is under the control of the evil one. 1 John 5:18-21. NIV.

So, its leaders, are not permitted by the evil one to tell people to pray to the only true God

In the name of His Only-begotten Son,

The Son of Man, the Son of God,

The Lord Jesus Christ,

The righteousness of God,

The Redeemer,

The Savior of all men.

“This is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance (and for this we labor and strive), that we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, and especially of those who believe.” -1 Timothy 4:9, 10. NIV.

Maybe, instead of “playing god,”

We ought to be praying to God.

“You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them. We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood.” -1 John 4:4-6. NIV.
