Figure of a Woman – Chapter Three
“Eileen and Mark at Home”
Eileen and Mark enter Eileen’s house.
It’s only eleven o’clock and too early for lunch; so, Eileen turns to Mark and says:
Eileen: “Mark, while we are waiting for lunch, would you come with me into the sunroom. We can sit in there and enjoy a conversation?”
Mark: “OK, Eileen.” So, Eileen and Mark walk into the sunroom and sit down.
Eileen: “Mark, since you live on Oakley Road, I wonder if you have met my neighbor friend who lives there. Her name is Kelan?”
Mark: “I have not met her, yet. Is she a good friend to you, Eileen?”
Eileen: “Well, sometimes she makes me cry.”
Mark: “I’m sorry to hear that, Eileen. How does she do that?”
Eileen: “She says to me, “Tell me what you don’t like about me; and I’ll tell you what I don’t like about you.” So, I come home crying.”
Mark: “Well, if she says that to me, maybe, I will just tell her to go home!”
Eileen: “Mark, remember what your mother told you about meeting the love of your life?”
Mark: “I can’t remember that while I’m in your presence, Eileen.”
Eileen: “Why not, Mark?”
Mark: “When I’m with you, Eileen, there is no one else on my mind.”
Willie Nelson – Always On My Mind
Eileen: “Your mother said, you must learn love and kindness and loving kindness when you talk to people; or else, when you meet the love of your life, Mark, you won’t get anywhere with her – and you’ll never see the figure of a woman unless your heart be circumcised.”
Mark: “Now that you mention it, Eileen, that is what Mom said to me. OK, let me try to come up with something better to say to Kelan . . . How about this? “Kelan, there is nothing that I don’t like about you. You are so lovely to me in every way imaginable.”
Kelan: “Well, Mark, in that case, I like everything about you, too.”
Mark: “Thank you, Kelan.”
Kelan: “So, now what do we do, Mark?”
Mark: “Let’s go over to see Eileen and tell her that we like everything about her.”
Kelan: “OK, Mark. Let’s do it. Maybe I need to learn love and kindness and loving kindness, too. And if I buy a Bible and read it and believe it, may I come with you to Eileen’s sunroom and read with you and Eileen? Maybe the Lord will circumcise my heart, too. And we can all go to heaven someday. And maybe the good Lord will let me grow up and have the figure of a woman.”

Senior Citizen Plays Piano…Then Magic Occurs
The following performance is so wonderful that it reminds me of Jesus feeding thousands of people with a few loaves of bread and a few fish. It seems miraculous to be able to play a piano so well. And then I recall that God made man; so, glory be to God for giving man such wonderful abilities!
