What IF?

What if Sharon Williams married William Sharon?
Would she become Sharon Sharon?
And he become William Williams?
Would they be buddies and buddies?
And huggies and huggies?
And kissy and kissy?
And lovey and dovey?
And sleepy and sleepy?
And dreamy and dreamy?
Would they be righty and righty?
And lefty and lefty?
And sweety and sweety?
And together and together?
Would they become reflections of each other?
And when they got older . . .
Would they become “the same olde same olde?”
And if they both got born again . . .
Would they be identical twins?
And then . . .
Would they walk to school together
And walk home together?
And do their homework together
And sleep together?
And what if they were NOT believers?
Would they lose everything . . . in their unbelief?
And could they still be together . . . having lost everything in unbelief?

Remembering Forest Gump; but . . .
What IF life is NOT like a box of chocolates?
What if human life is what the gospel of Christ teaches us? And what if “the many” choose not to believe the gospel and, instead, choose to go their own way and decide for themselves what the meaning of life is; and how to live it on their own terms – not God’s terms as revealed in the gospel of Jesus Christ? And then, What IF they come to the end of their life . . . lived on their own terms . . . the way they chose to live it? And What IF they are judged by the only True God — Whose Holy Spirit inspired every word of the Holy Scriptures – including The New Testament of Jesus Christ and the Gospel in The New Testament? And what if all they did in life is of naught in the sight of True God – because they didn’t believe in the One that God sent into the world to save sinners? So, their sins were not forgiven; and their so-called good works were not recognized as worth anything – because they did not those works for the glory of God – but for their own vain self-glory? What if they are not redeemed; not regenerated; not allowed into heaven? And What IF, the only other place for them is hell? And What IF in hell there is no chance to ever get out? What IF they are eternally doomed and damned; and suffer eternal torment every moment for ever and ever?
And What IF those who did choose to believe the gospel of Christ really do receive forgiveness of sins and regeneration of their bodies in glory; and live in the new heavens and the new earth that are also regenerated in glory?
And What IF today is your last day and your last chance to believe in the gospel and believe on the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as your own personal Lord and Savior? What will you choose to do? Where do you choose to spend Eternity?
Does it seem right to you to believe in your self – rather than in Christ? Where does that opinion come from? On what basis do you choose to trust in yourself rather than in God Almighty’s Son, the Holy Spirit-declared Savior of all men, especially believers?
People often misunderstand this matter of faith in Jesus Christ. They often mistakenly jump to the false conclusion that believing in Jesus Christ means that you must join a church and submit yourself to whatever you are told by the church leaders – thus surrendering yourself to the leaders of that church.
What IF genuine faith in the Lord Jesus Christ does NOT mean placing your faith in the leaders of any church body?
“But you are not to be called rabbi, for you have one teacher, and you are all brothers. And call no man your father on earth, for you have one Father, who is in heaven. Neither be called instructors, for you have one instructor, the Christ. The greatest among you shall be your servant. Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.” -Matthew 23:8-12. ESV Study Bible.
