An Open Letter to Fran

She blocked me yesterday – after less than 24 hours of being FB friends

I was really enjoying corresponding with her.

She was telling me how she feels about the cold and the snow here in southern New England

And I was writing back to her with enthusiasm

And then she blocked me

I don’t know why

I feel like I just lost a dear friend

And her last name had the word valley in it

She was telling me her thoughts about moving to the east coast of North Carolina

And I was writing back to mention the hurricanes that often go there;

When I pressed “Send” it wouldn’t go

 Fran was gone
