Mary and Mark in Heaven
Mark looked up the name Mary in his booklet: “Names For Boys & Girls” that he found in the maternity ward at Women & Infants Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island in the late 1990s while visiting his sister-in-law with family; Tracy had just given birth to her and her husband’s first of three sons: Dylan. In that booklet, the name Mary means Sympathetic and it is of Hebrew derivation. And in The American Heritage College Dictionary – Fourth Edition [which he didn’t just happen to find in a maternity ward but actually bought and paid for it] is revealed the meaning of sympathy as:
“A relationship or affinity between people or things in which whatever affects one correspondingly affects the other. 2. Mutual understanding or affection arising from this relationship or affinity. 2a. The act or power of sharing the feelings of another. . .”
“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. Setting for The Story of Mary and Mark in Heaven
Mary and Mark Have Passed from earth life to heaven. They are both living in separate rooms in The Father’s House.
Mary and Mark happen to see each other sometimes as they come and go from their separate rooms; and take the elevator; and go to the community room to check their mailboxes; or go out to shop and come home again with their purchases. Back in the days when they were on earth, they had met online. They had not met in person while on earth. Mary lived in eastern Europe and Mark lived in eastern USA. And Mark had shared the gospel of Jesus Christ with Mary over the Internet; and eventually Mary became a believer in our Lord Jesus Christ; so it seemed good to the Lord to have them both live in His Father’s House — near enough to each other that they should meet again. Perhaps the Lord himself found it to be a good thing – to have a romance happening in heaven – after all “love springs eternal” and God is love – so why should there not be eternal love and romance in The Father’s House? So here they are living in The Mansion of Michael in God’s Kingdom in the New Jerusalem in the Paradise of God where the River of Life flows down the middle of the street, eternally.
“Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb through the middle of the street of the city; also, on either side of the river, the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. No longer will there be anything accursed, but the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his servants will worship him. They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. And night will be no more. Mary and Mark were both standing at the elevator on the 8th floor, in waiting.
Mary: “Mark, there is something in my heart I must confide to you at last.”
Mark: “Oh . . . what is it, Mary?”
Mary: “Well, I understand that our thanks is first of all to God our Savior for us both being here in heaven; but, I also understand that, if you had not shared the gospel of our Lord Jesus with me back on earth, I wouldn’t be here today – and forever in heavenly bliss where there is no longer any pain or mourning or crying or tears nor death anymore. So, I want to confide to you, Mark, from my heart, my deepest gratitude to you for bringing to my attention the gospel of Christ and helping me to understand it; so that I eventually repented of my sin and came around to the faith of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior by believing in the gospel as Jesus proclaimed at the beginning of his earthly ministry.”

Mark: “And I want to confide in you, Mary, how thankful I am to True God for putting it into my heart by the Helper, His Holy Spirit, to share the gospel with you – because I love you, Mary; and heaven is so much more heavenly to me because you are here, too. I think of you all the time; and when I lay my head down on my pillow at night thoughts of you come to mind – and yearning in my heart to be in your presence – and maybe even confiding my love to you; and just having honest-to-goodness conversation with you in loving sincerity of heart and mind and soul and spirit. And when I imagine our eyes meeting in sympathetic recognition and unity . . . well, it’s just so loving and satisfying and glorious that I can only believe that heaven has come down to earth and brought the Paradise of God to us who truly believe in Christ our Saviour in Jesus’ name.”

Mary: “Mark, you really have a personal affection for me?”
Mark: “I really do, Mary – ever since I saw you on earth – or rather, saw you online — this yearning in my heart for you began to grow like a seed beginning to sprout that wants to become with you all that it can be in True God’s Love and Light and Spirit.” The elevator door opened, and they both entered the moving room.
Mary: “I would like to walk with you, Mark.”
Mark: “I would enjoy that very much, Mary.”
Mary: “Where are you going now, Mark?”
Mark: “I’m going out for a walk.”
Mary: “May I come along with you?”
Mark: “Yes Mary. I would love for you to walk with me.” The elevator reaches the first floor and the door opens. Mary and Mark walk outside together.
Mary: “Which way shall we go?”
Mark: “The way you’d like to go, Mary; for it is written that love prefers the interests of the other rather than self.” Mary takes Mark’s hand into hers and they begin to walk along the street in the middle of the city. And there is a river there.
Mary: “Mark, do you like holding my hand?”
Mark: “I do, Mary. It feels like heaven to me – like the river of life is beginning to flow in me in us because of your presence.” So, they continue walking hand-in-hand for several minutes.
Mary: “Mark, I’d like to put my hand around you and rest it on your hip as we continue walking.”
Mark: “Alright, Mary.” So, Mary puts her hand around Mark and rests it on his hip.
Mark: “This reminds me of a scene in a music video I saw many times back in the old days on earth.”
Mary: “What music video, Mark?”
Mark: It was called “My Fair Lady/Wouldn’t It Be Loverly.”
Mary: “I wish I could both see and hear this music video that you enjoyed so much that you watched it many times. It must have special meaning in your heart, Mark?”
Mark: “It does, Mary; and now that we are living in our gloriously regenerated bodies that are just like our Lord’s resurrection body, we can experience it.”
Mary: “And what is that special meaning, Mark; and how may we experience that music video?”
Mark: “It will presently come into our consciousness by the grace of God – by Whom all things are possible – just as Jesus said: “But Jesus looked at them and said, ‘With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.’” [Matthew 19:26. ESV]. And just then, the music video began to happen in Mary and Mark’s awareness as they continued to walk together. And Mark said to Mary, “At a certain point in the music video one of the gentlemen puts his hand around the fair lady as they sing and walk together. And I always wonder how he can be so carefree with his hand on her hip. I imagine I would be having such intense feelings for her if my hand was there on her hip that it would make me cry and perhaps break open – as a seed breaks open and begins to sprout in the Springtime of its life.”

A seemingly unrelated commentary is coming to mind. Perhaps it is the Lord’s will. I’m not sure. Maybe there is a connection between loving a lady and loving Lady Liberty – a symbol of America.
In the name of America is the name Erica; and in the name Erica is the name Eric. In that booklet of names for boys and girls, Erica means Ever powerful. It is of Norwegian derivation. And Eric means Princely. It is Teutonic. Maybe Eric is the son of Erica. True God is calling America to live up to her true calling in Him – to recognize Him as Her True Lord God – to repent of her fallen state under the influence of “the god of this world” — and become all that She may be in True God – God’s Country – the Nation of True Believers in True God and His Righteousness.

Mary, I went to bed about an hour ago. Couldn’t sleep. Was thinking of you. Another new name came to mind; maybe a title for this writing: Marymark of Mother Land. I was just feeling such love for you, Mary. And also, sometimes, thoughts of America were coming to mind. The Statue of Liberty. Thinking and wondering if this title is a name for her: Lady Liberty. Not sure. Then, was thinking of, maybe, a new statue for America, maybe one facing Lady Liberty. Marymark, of Mother Land. MaryMark of America. Mary_Mark of AmericaL [pronounced like: a miracle]. Mary + Mark of AmericaL. The capital L is for LORD. Our LORD God, the True God of The United States of America. America needs to be wedded to Her True God. She needs to let go of her harlot lover – the corrupt corporate global state of Babylon the not-so-great. America needs to get right with God – with Almighty God. She cannot survive with her illicit lover, Babylon-the-no-longer great. America must renounce and throw off Babylon. America must, by True God, break the corrupt corporate state, the global state of Babylon the great. She is wicked! She is sinful. She is abominable. Wicked politics be gone! Wicked healthcare system, be gone! The love of money – which is idolatry, be gone! Satan, the false god of the world, be gone! Get thee hence, Satan! In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
