The Inexorableness of True God’s Way and Truth and Life – In a Nutshell

The Many Errors of Self-Believers
“Believe in yourself” – they say.
It sounds right – but it’s wrong.
A Parable . . .
There was an acorn who believed in himself.
Maybe he was an existentialist at heart.
“I am an acorn. Therefore, I believe in acorn_ness.”
“I will live my life believing in myself and in what I am.”
Something began happening to him – something fundamentally life-changing — something he was wholly unprepared for – something that did not fit well, or at all, with his preconceived notions of simply being an acorn and protecting his acorn-statehood – and its integrity. He sought outside help about this — and got legislation passed to protect himself and those like him – and their acorn rights of being. Meanwhile, his walls began to crack open and crumble. Light began to come into his dark single-room dwelling. And down below, a tiny root was beginning to descend through his flooring and connect with the earth under him. Then moisture and nutrients began flowing upward and into his very being. And a vulnerable pale-green stem at the center of his soul began to swell and spread its tiny branches and force the walls of his room to move further outward — and allow increased light to come in. His living room was opening up. And fresh air began wafting into his open room. The darkness he had been ensconced in was gone. He was seeing the Light — and feeling the Life! His mind, too, was opening and filling with wonderful thoughts. He smelled fresh scents in the springtime air; and there was blue sky above him now – as his rooftop dropped off. His heart was beginning to experience the incipient glories of greatness to come. He was being touched-to-the heart with the tender mercies of His Creator. And it made him weep with the sweetest emotions he’d never known before — during the days of his utter darkness and encapsulation. He was learning freedom, too – Emancipation. Unbounded and eternal life were becoming qualities of his new life in Christ — from His Creator God, The Almighty. He was surely being born-again and born from Above.

God IS — and those who will not come to Him in faith by believing in his Son Jesus – will not continue to enjoy His blessings of life and the mercies He will have on those who receive the love of the truth – God’s Word IS truth – and God’s Living Word IS Coming Again!
If you read the following article about Existentialism [provided here as an example of “the philosophies of men”] you may quickly tire of the excruciating explicity that is beyond the pale of credulity in its complexity — that are characteristic of human philosophies. The theory of evolution is another example of man’s intellectual thinking that avails nothing and only leads the human mind astray – like going on a fool’s journey into the vastness and blackness of outer space in a never ending and never fulfilling search for life out there – when True God has already provided us humans with that life here on Earth — and has given us the Way and the Truth and the Life by which to connect with Him – by His grace – through faith in his Son Jesus Christ the Lord and Savior of all men – and receive eternal life in Christ and live in His kingdom – the kingdom of God — which Jesus proclaimed in the gospel.

What is wrong with man believing in himself – rather than believing in True God — and accepting the gospel of Christ and the Holy Scriptures and The New Testament of Jesus Christ? It is merely intellectual. It does not bring newness of life. It is not spiritual. It is all in the arena of thought alone. It does not connect the whole man – including his heart – to the Living God – Who is Love and Light and Spirit. It does not enjoy True God’s blessings of redemption and salvation and eternal life. It does not enjoy the blessedness of coming into His Kingdom. It does not regenerate the body and soul and heart and life of its philosophical adherents.
