Let the Richer Family Tree Be

The Tree of Life in the Paradise of God

A Confession

I realize that this writing may sound self-promoting for my family and of self. And I realize that many may be offended; and some might think – or even say – “Who do you think you are? You’re nothing! We don’t care what you think and what you write – or what you imagine. We think you’re having delusions of grandeur. We think you’re exalting yourself. And it is written, “The greatest among you shall be your servant. Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.” -Jesus Christ the Lord. -Matthew 23:11, 12. ESV Study Bible. All I may say to that is: This is what came to me to write; so, I wrote it. Writing is what I do, lately. If I don’t write, then I will have nothing else to do. I’m not feeling well enough to go out and do great things. I don’t even feel well enough to take a shower everyday as I did for many years. And I only brush my teeth once a day now for the same reason.

“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who conquers I will grant to eat of the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.” -Revelation 2:7 ESV Study Bible.

Besides liking words, I like numbers. In fact, the 4^th book of The Bible is named, Numbers.

The reference above to Revelation refers to 2:7 – chapter 2 and verse 7. My dad’s number plate was RR 277. And our home phone number ended with 9177.

And another reference in Revelation concerning the tree of life is Revelation 22:14. 7 plus 7 = 14. My mom told me that Pepere Richer said he wasn’t feeling well the evening of the night when he went to bed and departed this world from there. And she said it was on February 14^th, 1950. And I was born on November 14^th, 1951. There are exactly 9 months from February 14^th to November 14^th. And 9 months is how long it takes a human being to go from conception to birth. And the State of Israel was born on May 14^th, 1948. Mom and Dad got married in 1948 – on June 19^th – which is now a national holiday called Freedom Day, or, Juneteenth. And I was baptized at Blackstone Valley Baptist Church on May 14^th, 1978. The church building was, at that time, at the corner of Spring Street and Blackstone Street in Woonsocket’s North End.

I’m writing something else that is tentatively titled:

Born Again Woonsocket and the White Stone River

Recently, I read and heard in a YouTube video of a black stone that has something to do with a worldly false religion. I immediately thought of the name of a river that flows from Worcester, Massachusetts and into Woonsocket, Rhode Island: the Blackstone River. I have no idea how this local river got its name. A relative was born on the 22^nd day of April – known as Earth Day.

“So all the generations from Abraham to David were fourteen generations, and from David to the deportation to Babylon fourteen generations, and from the deportation to Babylon to the Christ fourteen generations.” -Matthew 1:17 ESV Study Bible.

4, 5, 6. Consecutive numbers.

Mark has 4; David has 5; and Richer has 6.

And the word richer is in The Holy Scriptures.

“And now I will show you the truth. Behold, three more kings shall rise in Persia, and a fourth shall be far richer than all of them. And when he has become strong through his riches, he shall stir up all against the kingdom of Greece.” -Daniel 11:2. ESV Study Bible.

Our Richer Family has a cousin named Daniel. And in our family, four cousins were born within about one year of each other: Daniel, Charles, Rachel, and Mark. And Rachel is also in The Holy Scriptures. St. Charles School where I went for 8 years was on Daniels Street in Woonsocket. And about Daniel 11:2 – my mother, Beulah Ann Wilbur, whose first name is in The Holy Scriptures at Isaiah 62:4 – was born on 2:11 – February 11, 1930. Tomorrow will be February 11^th, 2023. Whenever her birthday came up in a conversation, she always said about it: “The day before Abraham Lincoln’s birthday.” And there was something about her older brother, Milton Wilbur, that reminds me of Abraham Lincoln. He had a solemnity about his demeanor like that of Abraham Lincoln.

And Precious Blood Cemetery is where our Richer and Roy grandparents and other relatives are buried. And it is written:

“And if you call on him as Father who judges impartially according to each one’s deeds, conduct yourselves with fear throughout the time of your exile, knowing that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot. He was foreknown before the foundation of the world but was made manifest in the last times for the sake of you who through him are believers in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.” -1 Peter 1:17-21 ESV Study Bible.

I think of the number 8 as being my number – because of so very many times that 8 has occurred in my life. The house we lived in on Sweet Avenue – the house in the backyard – is the 8^th house on the street – counting either way – from Elm Street or from Cass Avenue. I was born at 8:23 AM – as recorded on my birth certificate. Started school in 1958. My dad was born in the 8^th month. Graduated from the 8^th grade at St. Charles School. Moved into John F. Kennedy Manor in 2008. Live on the 8^th floor. Our Richer grandparents had 8 children. My mom departed at 88 years old in 2018 – in August – the 8^th month. It was in April 1978 that I became a born-again Christian. The symbol for eternity looks like the number 8 resting sideways.

“And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God that you may know that you have eternal life.” -1 John 5:11-13. ESV Study Bible.

Ruth is the 8^th book of the Hebrew Scriptures. There is a famous statement in this book that was spoken by Ruth.
