There was this man who saw this mountain . . .
He was a walker — so people just called him Walker.
He often saw this mountain on his walks. And she was a very beautiful mountain . . .
Walker would consider walking up that mountain . . .
But she was so impressive-looking to Walker that he would just keeping walking in the valley . . .
And think about Her . . .
She had two peaks – like a beautiful bosom
One day on his walk, he stopped and gazed upon Her for a while – beholding Her beauty and imagining what the experience would be like to walk the steep path up that mountain. And he wondered what would happen to him if he went on that high journey upward to Mount Saint Helens Peak. He imagined he would never be the same. Someone saw him looking at that mountaintop. And the one beholding him somehow understood the man and what he wanted; so he asked him a question:
“Why don’t you just take the first step and try?” Walker turned and looked at the other man. “I don’t know if I can do it. She is so magnificent. And so high. And so beautiful . . .” The other said, “She’s calling you, Walker. And She will help you. She wants you to come to Her. She will make you more than you’ve ever been before. Don’t be afraid of Love, Walker. Love is a good thing. Love will only do you good. Respond to Her. Go to Her.” Walker replied, “OK. Thanks.”
And Walker took the first step on the path upward to Mount Saint Helens.

Mount Saint Helena – Wikipedia
As Walker was walking up the path to Mount Saint Helens he was thinking many wonderful thoughts. And he was also feeling many strong emotions. His heart was stirring inside him. He realized he wasn’t sure about what he was doing by walking up this great mountain. He began realizing that he was being drawn to This Walk. He wasn’t in charge of this journey. Someone else was taking him on This Walk of His Life – This Calling. He often felt like crying as he walked. He thought of a baby crying – of a baby being born – and coming out of his mother’s womb, wailing. He thought of Jesus speaking to Nicodemus in John 3 about being born again and seeing and entering the kingdom of God. He was recalling other Scriptures about “newness of life” and “the new way of the Spirit” [Romans 6:4; 7:6 ESV] and “living stones” [1 Peter 2:4-6 ESV] and coming to the city of God, the new Jerusalem. [Hebrews 12:18-29 ESV]. And so, he began turning in faith to God as he continued walking upward toward Mount Saint Helens Peak.

Walker was feeling very lowly as he continued walking up the path toward the peak of Mount Saint Helens. He realized he was losing his own mind. He was losing himself as he kept walking up Mount Saint Helens. He realized he no longer knew why he was doing this; didn’t know nor understand nor remember why he was walking This Way. He was no longer his own. He was giving up to . . . he didn’t even know what he was giving up to. He remembered God. And so, he just put his trust in Him – and kept walking – trusting in His Name.
He stopped to rest. As he sat on a rock just breathing, he recalled having read something about Mount Saint Helens – that she was a volcano. And so he wondered: What am I doing? Am I walking up to a volcanic peak? What should I expect to find there – a huge hole with seething hot volcanic lava deep inside? Then a Scripture came into his thoughts: “Our God is a consuming fire.” And then he wondered: Am I on a suicidal path? He didn’t even want to stand up again. He felt exhausted. He wondered what kind of a story this life was turning into. He recalled Christ on the Cross – and wondered how Jesus felt on that Cross hanging there for hours and hours, helpless and bleeding and getting weaker and weaker and in excruciating pain. And then another Scripture came into his thoughts: “On the mount of the LORD it shall be provided.” [Genesis 22:14b ESV]. He stood up and continued walking upward. He became so faint he had to stop. There wasn’t even a rock to sit down on. He just stood there. And then something appeared before his vision. A lady. And with the little strength still left in him, he asked: “Who are you?” And she replied, “I AM Helen.” “Helen?” he asked in wonder. “Yes Walker. You came to see me. Here I AM. And you are now seeing Me.” Walker just took a deep breath and sighed. He had nothing left in him. He was empty. Helen said to him, “Walker, step toward me. I AM Spiritual. Just walk into me. Just merge into Me, Walker – and you will find rest in Me.” And Walker recalled another Scripture:
“At that time Jesus declared, ‘I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to little children; yes, Father, for such was your gracious will. All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him. Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.’” -Matthew 11:25-30 ESV Study Bible.
And so, in faith in the words of Jesus Christ, Walker stepped forward and into Helen and merged into Her. And there he found rest and peace and love – on the Mount of the LORD.
“I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. Yet a little while and the world will see me no more, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. In that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you. Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him.” -John 14:18-21 ESV Study Bible.
