It Is Better to Take Refuge in the LORD
Is It Right to Vote ?
Does voting constitute putting trust in man?
Does God want us to put our trust in man or in God Himself?
“It is better to take refuge in the LORD
Than to trust in man.
It is better to take refuge in the LORD
Than to trust in princes.” -Psalm 118: 8, 9. ESV Study Bible.

Are those who go into Politics God-fearing men and women of the Lord God of heaven and earth — Whose Holy Spirit inspired every word of The Holy Scriptures – Whose Son is our Lord Jesus Christ, the Living Word of God and the Savior of all men, particularly those who believe the gospel of God and believe on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ ?
Are they obeying true God ?
Do they heed the will of God in all their lawmaking – to establish Equity of worldly wealth on Earth – so that the Nation’s Treasury is full-to-overflowing with wealth – so that the Nation may provide for helping the poor and for keeping the Nation in good order at all times – and to free the Nation of the exorbitant waste of revenue on ever-increasing interest payments on the obscene National Debt – which the wealthy are making enormous profits on – by Buying Bonds on that National Debt – and the lawmakers allow the wealthy to pay little-to-no-taxes on their extreme wealth – which contributes greatly to the continuing increase of the National Debt because of diminished revenue ? Does this amount to Fiscal Mismanagement by the Lawmakers of Congress ? And is it destabilizing the National Government – for the United States of America to be 35 trillion dollars in National Debt ?
“But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation, into a snare, into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.” -1 Timothy 6: 9-10. ESV Study Bible.
“Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world – the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions – is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.” -1 John 2: 15-17. ESV Study Bible.
“For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will but the will of him who sent me. And this is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me, but raise it up on the last day. For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.” -John 6: 38-40. ESV.

“And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life. Little children, keep yourselves from idols.” -1 John 5: 20, 21. ESV.
“Now when he was in Jerusalem at the Passover Feast, many believed in his name when they saw the signs he was doing. But Jesus on his part did not entrust himself to them, because he knew all people and needed no one to bear witness about man, for he himself knew what was in man.” -John 2: 23-25. ESV Study Bible.
“Yet among the mature we do impart wisdom, although it is not a wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are doomed to pass away. But we impart a secret and hidden wisdom of God, which God decreed before the ages for our glory. None of the rulers of this age understood this, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.” -1 Corinthians 2: 6-8. ESV Study Bible.

“Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world –the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions – is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.
“Children, it is the last hour, and as you have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have come. Therefore we know that it is the last hour.” -1 John 2: 15-18. ESV Study Bible.
“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
“The eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light, but if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!
“No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.” -Jesus Christ. [Matthew 6: 19-24. ESV Study Bible].

The world is becoming increasingly corrupted and polluted. Governments are going into extreme debt, while The Wealthy Few are continuing to acquire more and more worldly wealth. And more and more people are going into poverty. And the rulers are becoming increasingly hostile toward the very poor, the immigrants. They seek to unmercifully drive out the poor. And where will those poor immigrants be driven – back to their poverty-stricken countries and into the arms of gangs who will do violence to them and rape them and enslave them and molest their little children! And the people whose hearts and minds are in spiritual darkness have voted for those who seek to do such unmerciful and ungodly things to the poor.

And what does the LORD require of you?
To act justly, and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God?” -Micah 6: 8. NIV Study Bible. 2002 Edition.

The reason why our country is 35 trillion dollars in debt while The Wealthy Few are gaining more and more wealth is because of corporate business laws that allow worldly Inequity to prevail – Wealth for the Few and poverty for the many. And the people who walk in darkness are voting for this – because they trust in man rather than believing in God and His Word and the Gospel of Jesus Christ the Son of God.

“But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

Brothers, join in imitating me, and keep your eyes on those who walk according to the example you have in us. For many, of whom I have often told you and now tell you even with tears, walk as enemies of the cross of Christ. Their end is destruction, their god is their belly, and they glory in their shame, with minds set on earthly things. But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.
“Therefore, my brothers, whom I love and long for, my joy and my crown, stand firm thus in the Lord, my beloved.” -Philippians 3: 17-4:1. ESV Study Bible.
“I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” -Romans 12: 1, 2. ESV Study Bible.
“Since we have such a hope, we are very bold, not like Moses, who would put a veil over his face so that the Israelites might not gaze at the outcome of what was being brought to an end. But their minds were hardened. For to this day, when they read the old covenant, that same veil remains unlifted, because only through Christ is it taken away. Yes, to this day whenever Moses is read a veil lies over their hearts. But when one turns to the Lord, the veil is removed. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.” -2 Corinthians 3: 12-18. ESV Study Bible.

Trying to administer Government under the principle of “separation of church and state” results in government separated from True God’s Blessings of Grace and Wisdom and Justice and Righteousness.
The principle of separation of church and state has been perverted into “Separation of Country from the Providence of God.”
