I went out walking today. Didn’t go to the supermarket.
Just walking around a big block.
The walk took about 30 minutes.
Nothing special happened.
There was a writer who lived in Concord, Massachusetts in the 1800s.
His name was Henry David Thoreau

He kept a journal.
He wrote and published a book called:
“Walden or Life in the Woods.”
During the 1980s when I was in my 30s, I read that book – three times.
He built a shack near Walden Pond and lived in it for two years.
And he wrote about his daily life while living alone there, at Walden Pond.
There is a website that has many different pages devoted to the writings of many different authors.

Here is a mystery
Thoreau’s writing makes me cry. He doesn’t write about emotional topics. So, I wonder why he makes me cry. I suppose his writing and his life touches my heart. And that’s why I cry – or, at least have a feeling to cry.
