April and August Were Approaching May
April was always uncomfortable when May was in the Way.
August found May so beautiful she nearly dismayed him.
May was so much warmer than April
And she was always in flower.
And her many flowers added a scent to the April Air
That put August in the mood for love.
April often wished May was only one day.
But,
May took her sweet time
One lovely day after another —
Getting warmer and warmer —
Sunnier and Sunnier.
Summerier and Summerier . . .
She was nearly irresistible to August.
May was so understanding and good-hearted that she let April keep August.
She never took August under her sway.
And anyway, August never came around until the 8th month.
8 was his number.
His dad was born in August
And Ingrid Bergman was also born in August –
On the very same day –
Ingrid Bergman even departed on her birthday – August 29th.
Her life was a glorious homerun.
She completed the circuit of her life –
From Homeplate where she began to Homeplate where she departed –
The 29th of August.

She was One with God.
