What ARE the things of this world?
Politics
What is Politics for?
It is for corrupting and perverting government.
False religion
What is false religion for?
It is for corrupting and perverting the minds of the people. It is for substituting falsehood in place of truth to deceive the people. It is for keeping the people separated from the True God. It is for keeping the people under the influence of “the god of this age” – the devil: the father of lies and a murderer from the beginning.
Why would anyone choose to be under the influence of “the god of this age” and deceived?
Why not receive the love of the truth; and see clearly; and understand the will of True God; and be saved and be looking forward to the regeneration of all things in glory; and enjoy eternal life and well-being in True God’s Coming Kingdom?
“Do not love the world or the things of the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world – the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions – is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.” -1 John 2:15-17. ESV Study Bible.
