What Is Wrong with the World?
This is not intended to be an occasion for personally venting against the wicked world system.
It is intended to shed gospel light on the world situation; for the God-intended salvation of those who are willing to obey God and receive “the love of the truth.” So that they may escape those things which are coming upon the world system to remove it; in preparation for the new world order, to be established on earth: the kingdom of God, the home of righteousness – God’s righteousness in holiness and peace and True Godly love and faith and hope and regeneration of all things – to the glory of True God.
The present world system is under the imminent wrath of God due to its institutionalized unrighteousness: laws permitting evil to proliferate in many and sundry ways; and that is resulting in world-wide pollution and pandemics and poverty-for-the-many – and gluttonous greed by and for the few, that causes great deprivation to fall on the many, the poor.
The current world system is under the influence of “the god of this age” – the devil – the father of lies and a murder from the beginning, Jesus said of that one, in John 8.
The True God put the world under the influence of “the god of this age” to punish the unbelievers for their unbelief. For example, His Word tells believers to love not the world nor the things of the world; but, many disobey Him and they go ahead and love the world and the things of the world, anyway. And thus they immediately fall under the influence of “the god of this age” and their foolish hearts are darkened; and in the foolish darkness of their unbelieving hearts they do evil and call it good. For example: laws that permit abortion and gambling and atheistic schools; and sexual perversion and sexual immorality, and greed and impowering corporations to pollute and amass great wealth and pay no taxes while the government is allowed to wallow in deep debt.
“Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. On account of these the wrath of God is coming. In these you too once walked, when you were living in them. But now you must put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and obscene talk from your mouth. Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator. Here there is not Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave, free; but Christ is all, and in all.

An Unbeliever’s Question
What is the use of all this? How does it help U.S. today?
Answer
The people of Nineveh heeded Jonah’s words and God turned back His wrathful intention to destroy that great city. Perhaps if the United States of America heeds the gospel of Christ, God will have mercy on us — The US of America — and put off the great Tribulation that is prophesied in His Word of Holy Scripture to surely come to pass. And that postponement will give opportunity for many to believe in the gospel and believe on Jesus Christ; so they may spend Eternity enjoying eternal Life in God’s regenerated heavens and earth in their gloriously regenerated new bodies, minds and souls and spirits forever – rather than enduring eternal punishment and torment in their unregenerated bodies in unregenerated hell and the lake of fire.
