What Will Become of Them?
Was just thinking about unbelievers –
Those who trust in themselves rather than believing on the Lord Jesus Christ.
Was imagining them like so:
God has blessed them naturally in this life so much that they feel so self-confident unto themselves; that they don’t understand nor see their need for The Savior. They just go blithely on their way in life feeling “above it all” — above the need to believe the gospel of the kingdom of God.
Jesus told us a parable about the vine and the branches [John 15].
So, was thinking, maybe, the unbelievers are like this:
In their self-deceived delusions of self-reliance and self-security, they come to the conclusion that they can just break themselves off from The Vine and go their own way in life. So, that is what they do; they separate themselves from The Vine from which all receive life and strength and nourishment — in an unbelieving state of mind, they trust in themselves – rather than in True God.
And as soon as they do that, they begin to ever-so-gradually die.
They have cut themselves off from The Source of Life – Eternal Life – The Living Word of God – through Whom and for Whom and by Whom God Almighty created all things – visible and invisible things – things temporary and things eternal – things natural and things spiritual.

And, after death, they go where the unbelievers – the unsaved — go.

What would happen to Politics if — on Election Day — everyone just stayed home and prayed for the kingdom of God to come — because they had repented of loving the world and the things of the world that lie in wickedness? What if they began to see with the eyes of their understanding being opened by the Helper — whom the Lord Jesus Christ sends into the hearts of those who honestly and sincerely believe the gospel of the kingdom of God that the whole world is under the influence of “the god of this world” [the devil] the father of lies and a murderer from the beginning [see John 8 and 2 Corinthians 4 in The Holy Bible]; and began to realize that “It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in man. It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in princes.” -Psalm 118:8, 9. ESV Study Bible. What would happen to Politics if the politicians no longer received a mandate from We the People on election day? One party serves the Wealthy and Powerful and neglects their responsibility to be fiscal managers of the National Treasury [it’s about $29 TRILLION IN DEBT and keeps getting worse — while the corporations keep getting wealthier] and the other party gives the people the “freedom” to legally have their unborn babies killed by the multi millions over many decades — and gives the killers entitlement to receive health insurance payments for this crime against humanity, this 20th and 21st century kind of holocaust against the most vulnerable and defenseless of human beings. And several decades ago, they made it illegal for public schools to have public prayer [they took True God out of the classrooms and let in the devil, instead]. They are corrupting the whole country with ungodliness and polluting the earth. All living things are now suffering with sickness; and a great extinction of species is occurring.
