By My Spirit
“Then the angel who talked with me answered and said to me, ‘Do you not know what these are?’ I said, ‘No, my lord.’ Then he said to me, ‘This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the LORD of hosts. Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain. And he shall bring forward the top stone amid shouts of ‘Grace, grace to it!’”
“Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying, ‘The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also complete it. Then you will know that the LORD of hosts has sent me to you. For whoever has despised the day of small things shall rejoice, and shall see the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel.
“These seven are the eyes of the LORD, which range through the whole earth.” Then I said to him, ‘What are these two olive trees on the right and the left of the lampstand?’ And a second time I answered and said to him, ‘What are these two branches of the olive trees, which are beside the two golden pipes from which the golden oil is poured out?’ He said to me, ‘Do you not know what these are?’ I said, ‘No, my lord.’ Then he said, ‘These are the two anointed ones who stand by the Lord of the whole earth.’” -Zechariah 4:5-14 ESV Study Bible.

My mother used to say to me, “You’re so literal!”
I didn’t know or understand why she said that to me. I may have gone to the dictionary to learn the meaning of literal.
Literal: 1. Conforming or limited to the simplest, nonfigurative, or most obvious meaning of a word or words. 2. Word for word; verbatim: a literal translation. 3. Avoiding exaggeration, metaphor, or embellishment; factual; prosaic: a literal mind. 4. Consisting of, using, or expressed by letters. . . .” -The American Heritage College Dictionary Fourth Edition.
My mother was very talkative. I wonder if she made me literal. Or, maybe, God made her my mother to drive me out of literalness . . . to drive me beyond literalness — to something else – something better – something More. “The kingdom of God is not a matter of words but of power.” Maybe God wanted to drive me into his kingdom – to move me to something greater than mere words. “Not by might nor by power but by my Spirit says the Lord of hosts.”
The word meaning begins with the letter m. The Holy Scriptures are all words – not one picture or sketch in all of God’s Word – in the original Scriptures. Jesus is the Word of God. God gave us the Holy Scriptures to give us more than a collection of words. His Word conveys meaning to our minds and hearts. And He sends his Holy Spirit into the hearts of those who truly believe his Word – the Spirit of truth, the Spirit of understanding. And his Holy Spirit shows us things to come. His Word and his Spirit are prophetic.
Music begins with the letter M. Hymns are music. Love songs are Music. Beautiful music touches the heart with something beyond words. Mother begins with the letter M.

A Letter From God
Imagined a Sign
Yes, I imagined this. I did not see it with the eyes in my head.
A sign of the cross on everything.
A very tiny cross on every petal of every flower; on every leaf of every tree and every green plant; and on every fruit and every vegetable.
And if you looked really closely into the eyes of every living thing – every bird, every animal, every child, every man and woman – you see The Sign of the Cross – right there in the iris of every eye – and maybe on every hand and every foot, a very tiny cross there, too. And if you look up at the sky at night and see the stars – every star taking on a new look – shining In The Figure of a Cross, The Cross of Christ – the sign of The Son of Man Coming in His Heavenly Father’s Glory Over All The Earth, victoriously.
Maybe only those who believe in Him and yearn in their hearts for His appearing will be able to see this sign; for it is written that without faith it is impossible to please God. He that comes to God must believe that He IS and that he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
“Yet among the mature we do impart wisdom, although it is not a wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are doomed to pass away. But we impart a secret and hidden wisdom of God, which God decreed before the ages for our glory. None of the rulers of this age understood this, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But, as it is written,
“What no eye has seen, nor ear heard,
Nor the heart of man imagined,
What God has prepared for those who love him” –

“But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian, for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s offspring , heirs according to promise.” -Galatians 3:25-29 ESV.

“You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him. But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness. If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.” -Romans 8:9-11 ESV.
