Are You a Question Mark ?
This post on my blog has some vagueness and obscurity that reflect the characteristics of some online encounters.
Mark: “What kind of person are you?”
A_lie: “What do you mean by that question, Mark ?”
Mark: “Are you really who you claim to be online – or — Are you pretending ?”
A_lie: “Sorry . . . I just don’t understand your question, Mark.”
Mark: “Is Alie your real name – or is it only your Online name – your stage name – like an actor who has a professional name that is different than the name given to him at birth — and that is on his legal photo ID card?”
Alie: “Sorry . . . again . . . I just don’t appreciate your asking me such personal questions. It feels like an invasion of my privacy. Why don’t you just accept me for who I’m showing myself to be online ? Just believe the name and the photo and videos I’m showing you – and leave it at that. OK ?”
Mark: “Well, it’s because of the things about me that you’re asking about. I mean, right away you want to know my email address. And you’re asking me “What do you have for me today?” And “Do you want to marry me?” And “I want to be in a relationship with you.”
A_lie: “Well, that’s just the way I am, Mark. I just like to be up front with people – no beating around the bush – just get right down to it – immediately. So, again, I’m asking you, Mark: Are you my husband-to-be? And what exactly do you have for me, today? And, Do you love me ? Just be real with me, Mark. Tell me the truth from your heart. Do you just love my picture and videos or not? Do you really go for me or not? Will you show me how much you love me – by giving me whatever I ask of you or not? Are you my loving husband or not, Mark? Do you have the courage to be my man or not? Show me how much you love me – right now. How big a gift do you want to give your loving wife, today? Are you a real man with a big and generous heart – or are you only here Online for talking-the-talk – but not really here to give me everything you’ve got for me – your loving “wife” who you’re ready and willing to die for – if I ask you for your life and your heart and soul and your email address and well . . . just surrender everything to me – right here and now. Don’t be afraid, Mark. Give me all that you have and all that you are. Be a real man for me, Mark. Show me your love and kindness and loving kindness, Mark . . . Please Mark.
