When I walk home from Stop & Shop in Bellingham, Massachusetts I often stop to look at the business location of Picard Auto Service – across the street – 15 Pulaski Blvd. It seems that Doreen in my heart wants me to do this – so she may look and see through my eyes at her dad’s business for a few moments. I imagine she may have worked there as a teenager – or at least went in there sometimes to see her dad at work when she was a girl.
[Don’t worry. I will not trespass on the property.]
And Doreen lived with her family at 10 Lake Shore Drive in Bellingham. And right next door was 8 Lake Shore Drive – where Sandra Deryck and her family lived years ago. And my grandmother lived at 17 Lake Shore Drive – across the street and a few houses away.

The only new car I ever owned was a 1979 Dodge Aspen.
It was white with light blue trim. It was purchased at a new car dealership on Route 146 in North Smithfield, Rhode Island. The name of that dealership started with Picard. It may have been Picard Auto Sales.
Sandra Deryck and I went to McDonald’s Restaurant on Branch Avenue in that car on December 4th, 1980.
