Wondering what to do today
The sky is clear and light blue.
Looks like a day for a walk
Maybe I could walk to Sweet Avenue
Already imagining how it might be . . .
Maybe I’ll stop just where I was standing in 1959 after coming home from school on the last day of First Grade.
And seeing Eileen the First walking down Stanley Avenue with her friends – one on her left and one on her right – or maybe she was on the left side. I can’t exactly remember anymore.

Mark is standing there between Me mere Wilbur’s property and Mr. and Mrs. Sutherland’s big brown 6-family tenement house – imagining this scene – imagining saying to Eileen as she comes walking down the gently sloping hill of Stanley Avenue in Woonsocket, Rhode Island.
“Hi Eileen.”
Eileen and her friends cross the street of Sweet Avenue coming toward him. Eileen looks at him gently and says, “Hi Mark.”
It’s the first time they ever speak to each other.

Mark: “Will your voice, Eileen, touch my heart as the image of your face touches the eyes of my heart ? I wish I had walked with you to the manger scene in first grade. I wish I had even put my arm around you as we walked. Wish I had said, “Good morning, Eleen.” when you and your brother got into the car on the way to school. Wonder what happened with you since the last day of first grade.”

Eileen: “I’m not sorry, Mark — that I moved away. I wasn’t called to the life you were called to, Mark. As you turned away during that manger scene walk, I too was turned away – from Woonsocket. But Mark — although you turned away from that walk to the manger with me as Mary — you did manage to stay in Woonsocket. Maybe we all turn away from some things in Life — and stay put for some other things.

Mark: “Eileen, Marty Robbins initials are the same as mine. And we were born the same year.”
Eileen: “You’re still not Marty Robbins, Mark.”
Mark: “That’s true, Eileen.”
Eileen: “So, we’ll just have to wait and see what else is true – for me and for you, Mark.”

Mark: “Eileen, just a few minutes ago – for the first time ever, I saw – the letters USA in the name Jerusalem. I was reading the lyrics to the hymn — Hymn 109 – The New Jerusalem. And Eileen, your name means Light. And Jesus said:
“Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” -John 8: 12 ESV.
And the numbers: 109 reminded me of the birthday of Eileen the Second:

And the hymn is 2:21 – 2 minutes and 21 seconds long.
And during “The Summer of ‘74” Eileen the Second was 21. And I was 22.
In 2:21 THERE ARE A 22 AND A 21.
And in Oak Hill Cemetery in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, there is a gravestone with her birthday and my birthday on opposite sides of that same stone. The name Job Pickford is prominent on that stone.
In the Book of Job it is written that Job said:
“Oh that my words were written!
Oh that they were inscribed in a book!
Oh that with an iron pen and lead
They were engraved in the rock forever!
For I know that my Redeemer lives,
And at the last he will stand upon the earth.
And after my skin has been thus destroyed,
Yet in my flesh I shall see God,
Whom I shall see for myself,

And Eileen the Second has a daughter named Mary.
And her birthday is 7/27/77
In less than 3 hours from now – 9:38 PM now –
It will be July 27th, 2026.
Mary will be 49 years old. 7 times 7 = 49.
I believe Mary is married.
I never met her.
I spoke with her on the phone once when she was about 16 years old. I was calling to speak with her mother, Eileen the Second. Her mother wasn’t home. They went to St. Joseph Church.
God the Father bless Eileen the First and Eileen the Second and Mary and Her Husband and Family and their marriage.
In our Lord Jesus’ Name.
