Yes, in southern Rhode Island, on the coast, is found
Jerusalem, RI — and Galilee, RI.
And there is a water passage between Jerusalem and Galilee, Rhode Island. An old map of Rhode Island – 1996-1997 – has the name Point Judith Pond for that water passage.
In 1974, Eileen the Second, whose parents had a summer home nearby on Great Island, pointed out Jerusalem to me as we were on a beach blanket in Galilee. The beach was called George’s Beach. I believe the beach is now called Salty Brine State Beach. I have not been there in decades.
