“Is There Any Way?”

Thursday, March 12th, 2020. 12:22 PM.

Dear Phoebe

Is there any way

For me

To be helpful to you?

I found your name in my Bible

Where it is written about Phoebe:

“I commend to you our sister Phoebe, a servant of the church at Cenchreae,

That you may welcome her in the Lord in a way worthy of the saints,

And help her in whatever she may need from you,

For she has been a patron of many

And of myself as well.”

-Romans 16:1, 2. ESV Study Bible.

This song is to you, Phoebe

Phoebe: “How are you, Mark?”

Mark: “I’m not feeling well, Phoebe.”

Phoebe: “What is the matter with you?”

Mark: “I feel weak?”

Phoebe: “That’s the way it is, sometimes, in love. It’s actually a blessing to feel weak. The Lord God keeps you out of trouble that way. After all, how much can you do when you’re in a condition of weakness, my darling?”

Mark: “Not much.”

Phoebe: “Exactly. And His Word also tells us this about weakness: “For the foolishness of God is wiser than man’s wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man’s strength.” -1 Corinthians 1:25. NIV. And: “But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ “Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” -2 Corinthians 12:9, 10.
