She always used to add about her February 11th birthday: “The day before Abraham Lincoln’s birthday.” I got the idea that Mom liked Abraham Lincoln. She liked the actor Ward Bond, too. He portrayed the wagon master in the early years of the TV series: Wagon Train in the late 1950s. I think she liked Jimmy Stuart, too. And Gregory Peck and Gary Cooper.

Eileen, I just woke up from a short nap and began thinking of you
And imagining writing to you.
I remember that you texted me last May 27th, 2020 to push you out of my mind and forget about you, Eileen; have not heard from you since that day — almost 9 months ago. I miss hearing from you so very much, Eileen. My heart yearns like an-as-yet-unborn baby needing to get through the birth canal to see the light in his mother’s Irish eyes and to be in the Shekinah glory of her loving smile and her loving heart.
However, God, Who Is Love and Light and Spirit, is more powerful than all human words and wills and their hearts and minds and souls and their human spirits. He is certainly more powerful than me. Mere human beings cannot resist True God’s Divine Will. As the apostles Peter and John replied to those who tried to stop them from preaching in the name of Jesus: “But Peter and John answered them, ‘Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you rather than to God, you must judge, for we cannot but speak of what we have seen and heard.’” -The Acts of the Apostles 4:19. I have three not-too-serious Valentine cards recently bought at Price Rite
They’re not super serious cards like the one sent to you a few months ago.
They are more like normal Valentine cards – for those a little older than we were at St. Charles School — in 4th through 8th grades, Eileen.
Wondering what to do with them . . .
Should I just leave them in a drawer like the one I kept for about 11 years before sending it to you, at long last, just a few months ago?
Should I just leave them somewhere, unsigned, for anyone who might want to take them and give them to someone special in their life?
Should I send them one at a time to you? Perhaps not — that might exasperate you – or, perplex you;
Or send all three at once in one envelope?
Should I write a note to you and ask you what to do with them – like a little boy asking his mom for instructions?
Here’s a thought:

“Why three of them, Mark?”
I don’t know . . . I was at Price Rite shopping for food on February 4th, 2021, and noticed the cards section and just had to buy them.
“That’s what I mean about you, Mark – you have these compulsions and obsessions and heresies and “demons of desire” and love for me . . . you can’t just do your shopping – you have to be thinking of me; you must be so lonely . . . that you’re love sick over me.”

Dear Eileen
May I share a memory with you from “our summer of ‘74”?
It is so sweet to me to remember us – you and me: Eileen & Mark
And to write to you about such sweet things that are close to my heart – things that I cherish —
Being friends with you
It was soon after the night we spent together in June 1974 — June 19th-20th, I think
Which was my mom & dad’s wedding anniversary – June 19th, 1948.
In the days following that sleep over in the cottage by the sea on Great island
I sent a greeting card to you
It was a funny card with a picture on the cover of a happy, smiling monkey.
I can’t recall any of the words on the card;
However, I remember the next time we were together in the kitchen in your parents’ cottage by the sea —
I like to remember it that way: “the cottage by the sea” — it sounds pretty and romantic
— as you are pretty, Eileen — and that summer with you was so romantic to me.
You asked me about that card
You asked me something like:
Eileen: “About that card you sent me, Mark – with a picture of a monkey on the cover: Did you think that what we did was animalistic?”
Mark: “No, I just wanted to send a funny card to you — to try to keep things between us light-hearted.”

Maybe some of the pieces of the puzzle mentioned in “The Shekinah Glory in Sonora’s Aura” – Mark’s Imaginings are beginning or about to begin coming together. Maybe the revelation of the truth that is about to appear in glory will be something beautiful beyond the imagination of mere men –to be enjoyed forever by those who have received the love of the truth; and have endured unto the end in the faith of Jesus Christ our Lord — as we await His glorious appearing each day of our earthly lives – without growing bitter even if we die waiting – knowing that many before us waited, too – all their lives, understanding that this waiting is part of our worship and suffering for Christ, who suffered for us unto death – even death on a cross — and with much suffering even before He was nailed to that Cross – the beatings and abuse He suffered and endured the night before.
Unbelievers may sneeringly ask in the contempt of their hearts: “What is truth?” — as Pontius Pilate also asked Jesus.
Answer: “Jesus Christ is The Truth. And the Holy Scriptures are the Truth. And the gospel of Jesus Christ is the Truth. Are you willing to seek His kingdom while it may yet be found? Do you truly want to become a believer? Do you really want to believe the truth of the gospel of Christ? Are you willing to read The New Testament in order to hear the truth and believe it; and be born again by the grace of God through faith in His Son, the Savior of the world?”
