Saved By the Light
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not anything made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. John 1-2 ESV – The Word Became Flesh – In the – Bible Gateway
Just got up from the desk chair; and this old back was aching like a broken gate that is about to fall off its hinges;
And was imagining an acorn-seed breaking up — and that acorn thinking he was dying . . . coming to the end of his existence – not realizing the reality of his situation.
He really only needs to understand and believe the truth and then his view will change.
He isn’t the acorn anymore – he’s the little sprout that’s making its way out of his shell . . .
He’s getting born again.
It’s his birthday.
He’s beginning a new life.
He’s coming out of the darkness and into the Light.
He’s just beginning to put down a tiny root in the earth;
And reach up by his tiny, pale-green stem toward the blue sky — wider than his little imagination can comprehend;
And begin a journey into becoming something so glorious that he has no idea of . . .
He has a Maker he doesn’t even know yet Who is working in him a new life . . .
a life that shall never end —
It just keeps on becoming something new and more and better and greater and more glorious . . .
